I always liked the end of each show, when they talked about the likelihood of each event the preppers, prepared for. They typically gave each one an extremely low likelihood, yet now (maybe 10 years after the airing of these shows) most are on the verge or already happening. The polar shift is looking more likely as the poles are accelerating in movement and last year was 60'.

Hello, as a prepper I am always really worried to see people stockpiling canned goods and MREs. Don’t get me wrong they’re good to have on hand, however MREs go bad after three years and canned goods only last up to maybe 4-5 years. Most people don’t store food correctly, so their food stores will go bad. You need freeze dried foods,/‘d dried goods. Pasta, rice, oats, flour, beans, wheat, and corn are your best bets to start with. If you can afford to either freeze dry your own food or buy freeze dried meals, go for it. Focus on getting trusted brands and stuff that you will like eating. If you can, get peanut butter mix or nut butter mix, not the actual nut butter. Oils and fats go bad after one year and will not keep. As for water, just buying bottled water is a good start, but it will only be good for a year. Even water stores in those big blue containers will go bad after a year. So make sure your water peeps are constantly updated. If you have a pool, you’re one of the lucky few.
Food, water and fire power. What you never see in these videos or movies is what do people do for they’re animals. If you care about them and you should is prep for them too. Good luck out there hopefully something like this never happens🤙
Skills are arguably more important that stock. Know how to grow, and what is edible in your local natural habitat. Know how to start fire without matches how to find & purify water.

I wish everyone realized the value of having these mindsets because when catastrophe strikes it's not the initial event that causes the most damage it's the after math when people get desperate we all know what happens if everyone was sufficiently prepared we could mitigate alot of that
those sound effect for the .22 rifle was funny they should've have done missile sound instead great job on the edit N.G.

Those sound effects when they are shooting the small caliber 22 are hilarious 😂
Wow a .22 lr only dented your mild steel shelter! I loved the sound effects when they fired. Try shooting that shipping container with some of the most popular modern sporting rifle rounds and I guarantee that the results will be very different. A false sense of security is not a good thing.
And while prepping to survive a disaster they forget to live. A lifestyle 🤯

16:53 it's nice that they have protection from all sides but what if the same person getting this camera shot was an enemy? Lol....
Don't have the attention span to watch the whole thing but my hot take from the intro is that the Vietnam dude with the steel shipping containers set up probably holds out the longest
the sound effects for the 22 was awesome
If given enough time, all of these people will look sane
Second dude needs to just leave LA 🤣. Mad respect for the skills. But good luck but getting robbed of you're whole kit in the first half hour. 99% of them LA people will just dust you for tools they don't even know how to use.... If your destination is out of the city, why not be at your destination from the beginning?🤷🏽♂️

When I was an adorable little boy in the sixites my friend and I loved playing in the huge, well stocked bomb shelter in his house. Built by a prepper relative who wasted all his life savings and time on it .His wife, kids etc had all their time wasted. He sounded exactly like this guy.

@@josephedwarddowling5919 Interesting like what? I just see that many things end up being dust gathers until you need them. I think some things the level of "need" may be much higher than others. Emergency rooms typically run at a loss of revenue, a waste? Maybe. Until it is needed. How many people are involved in self defense requiring a firearm but lug one around everyday? Seat belts, safety glasses, chain guards etc. I was just looking in Alabama for property and would absolutely have an underground bunker there. It would be for tornadoes or whatever. Probably another waste unless I needed it.

I'm a woman in my early 30s and started prepping in my early 20s. It's life insurance IRL. Btw it's not prepping for the end of the world because there would be absolutely no point in preparing for that. Prepping is for natural disasters, war, famine ECT.
Wow Paul and Gloria really are prepared wonderfully. I think if Paul’s so worried about earthquakes maybe he shouldn’t put glass jars on the very top spec leaning over the edge. With those metal shelves he should tack a little piece of bar steel to make a rail securing the food in case of jostling from a quake.

Might want to eliminate a couple windows in those busses too. And a school bus may be designed to roll over and everyone get out okay - but probably not with 5000 lbs of loose cargo bouncing around inside it when it happens. Imagine surviving the rollover itself, but being capped by canned goods in the process.

makes you think where are these people today considering everything that happened since this was filmed, many of their predictions may seem farfetch and aged but they have a fundamental knowledge of being ready at all times regardless.
I seriously had to laugh when at the very end the narrator said that the chances of a major earthquake hitting LA was less than 3% because years ago I watched a show about earthquakes when I was living in LA and in the show they said that exact figure 3% lol the next day was the Northridge quake lol. I was also present for the Quake that struck the Bay Area during the World Series baseball game right in the middle of the game lol

@@andyhwell8419 yes, always start with the tools that will ensure clean water and food acquisition, such as filters, firestarters, knives, long range/guns, then storage of food and water, then the gold n silver. You can always gather and hunt in a bug out, if your Homebase is overrun or destroyed, so get the tools in a bag first, with compatible back ups. Make sure the tools have multiple uses, a pocket knife will only get you so far. Gold is only useful in a modern world. It's only useful for tech and looks. Other than that, it's dead weight.
