I think we long for the enjoyment of the Summer when we were kids and there was no school. Long days with friends in the sprinklers or at the park or riding bikes with no cares. As adults, we just get sweaty, hot, bug-bitten and sun-burned 😐 but I am trying to fall in love with summer again through my garden and its wildness. And, of course, Desi's videos ❤

My husband and mother in law are total summer babies... then there is me and my father in law and we get so antsy for the fall! I love the Winter too...but the last 2 weeks of January into February can be rough.. 😬😣

as a Vermonter who lives 20 mins away from Woodstock, I am definitely ready for fall already. The cozy feeling of being at home, wearing fun fluffy sweaters, walking downtown to go to the bookstore in a cozy sweater.

I'm SO EXCITED to see this video. People don't understand that if you *really* want to do cool fall activities you need to plan in advance! Need to pick the perfect spots, schedule it in, and figure out how to avoid the crowds. 100% pro early autumn squad!

I'm planning on bringing my sisters and little cousins to the pumpkin patch! I'd love to take them this corn maze I went to in c. 2010 because there are so many games and slides and people always bring their dogs. My youngest little lady cousin adores animals.

As someone who really loves summer too, I've held off watching this until now. It's still summer here, but there's a subtle change now, and technical fall is almost here! I'm excited! The leaves are already falling here in Sweden, so it very much is this magic time between summer and fall now 😍 It's chilly, yet warm but not overwhelming 😍 It's perfect

Definitely a place to be on your radar is Corning, NY. Especially in fall!! You can blow your own glass pumpkin (and make other glass crafts) and it’s beautifully decorated. Western and Upstate NY may be a bit far for you but there’s beautiful fall activities over there.

im done of swearing "this autumn is going to be the best autumn" and then not appreciating it enough. This IS going to be my autumn. I WILL make pumpkin pie with real pumpkin, I'll fill myself with apple and cinnamon tea, I'll have autumn walks with my friends and I will wear autumnal clothes. I will read books til midnight on fridays and saturdays and I'll keep writing songs on my guitar and mandolin. I will light up candles when I have to study, I'll binge watch over the garden wall the day before halloween and I'll look for mushrooms in the deepest parts of the forest. This WILL be my autumn

I travelled abroad and studied political science at a university in South Korea nearly 6 years ago now. I’m about to graduate now, but though I love politics and international relations, the study of war and conflict and other disasters often make me feel really small and things feel hopeless. That’s when I turn to your videos, and I can retreat to these small joys in life, such as baking or some cozy books. It has really helped me from developing anxiety over this, and I’m forever grateful

I live in South Wales, UK and July was dreadful for a summer month! Constant rain, gloominess and low temperatures... It put me in an autumn mood and although August is a bit warmer, I am here for the fall content! Autumn is my favourite season and November is my birthday month 😊 every year autumn feels quite short, after Halloween people are getting to winter/Christmas mood so I am definitely commited to start enjoying it earlier this year, I hated summer and let's forget about it 😂

I'm trying to pretend it isn't summer anymore as wildfires continue to rage around me in the interior of British Columbia, Canada and dreaming about when fall will come. I'm getting into all things Scooby-Doo, Supernatural, Gilmore Girls, and all the soft cozy music, staying up late at night so I can wear sweaters and pretend like it's cold outside... I don't know what it is or how to explain it, but this channel makes me feel so warm and safe. it is raining were I live and a few leaves fell today in the wind. I know it's quite early to decorate for fall, but the feeling of having those leaves and pumpkins around the house just really puts your mind at ease. Fall really is Magical🍁🎃📕

Seeing how happy you are about fall, I'm so glad you didn't move to Europe! The love of fall and all things pumpkin spice is truly a North American thing. There's no shops selling Halloween goodies over here, no themed foods or decor being put up. It's mostly a thing that children do, having a small fall market at their school, and it's mostly seen as juvenile or excessive. I miss the coziness and autumn/halloween vibe living over here so much and I'm grateful that your videos are here to create that fall magic 🤩

I was born in the autumn - love all things fall. Mid-August is when it kicks in and the move toward all the wonderful things the season has to offer.

I think you'll really enjoy a bookbinding workshop! It's one of those things that looks really complicated until someone shows you how to do it. And if you want to pursue it further after the workshop, you really only need paper, stiff thread, scissors, glue, and a needle to keep making more books. It's a lovely and meditative hobby to have.

A great autumnal/wintery book that I adore with my whole heart is Little Thieves by Margaret Owen. The writing is absolutely incredible, the characters feel so alive and the mythology woven in is very atmospheric. It's my favourite book of all time and the sequel to it just came out this year!! 💛

I totally understand that! Please continue to enjoy it and come back when you're ready :) For me, summer ends when students go back to school (here in the US students are going back to school this week) and the calendar is officially closer to the start of September than it is to the start of August :) Also here in North Carolina the temp has been 106 all week so as much as I love summer, I'm ready for the heat to end 🧡
