Preparation strategy for oral rounds for moot court| Best six tips for oral round| Moot Court Series
Hi VLAWGISH family!
This is another video which falls in the category of most requested videos by you all. Before watching this video, make sure you watch my videos on the Moot court memorial and the Moot court competition.
Moot court competitions are a fun way to learn the practical aspects associated with the laws. Almost every law student participates in such moot courts (inter or intra) and strives to do their best in it. This is one of the extra curricular activities that every law student must indulge in at least once during the law school. Thus, it also forms a part of the most important habits that all law students and lawyers must cultivate.
Not only it is important to understand the moot problem really well and framing the memorial wisely, but it is equally important to ensure that the preparation for oral rounds is on point in order to ensure success. The oral arguments day in a moot court competition is often that day where participants are most nervous and most excited at the same time.
This video will be helpful if you want to know the best tips on framing and presenting arguments for moot courts, how to present yourself before the judges in the competition, how to conclude the oral arguments, how to begin the oral arguments round and what aspects should be taken care of while presenting arguments for a moot court competition. I am sure that all law students are going to love this video and the content.
In the last video in this moot court series, I had shown an example of a well prepared moot court memorial side by side in the video while explaining it to you all. That memorial was drafted from the Appellant's side and was for a criminal law moot problem. In this video, I'll be referring to that problem many times so I advise you all to watch the previous video first to understand the content better.
Law schools give you so many opportunities but the responsibility of utilizing them all rests on a student's shoulder. This video will assist you in understanding every aspect related to the oral rounds in a moot court competition and will serve as a guide for you. I hope this helps you in such a manner that you get the desired results. Let us all work hard, watch this video on VLAWGISH, and leave the rest to nature.

How to improve speaking skill so that can be helpful for mooting
What if you lately know that your clients are actually guilty......... (before judgements of court)
doubt- if there are points that we have not added in memorial, can we still put them in front of the court during oral round??
@vlawgish
3 жыл бұрын
Some competition's rules bar you from doing that. Otherwise there's no such strict bar. But remember that you can give only those arguments that you have given in memorial, points under main arguments can be elaborated though.
thank you , but i dont understand you when you change to hindu , do u use it in your courts

Oops, sorry! Yes, we use both Hindi and English but the official language is English
Which year are you in?
Mam.. In moot fact mentioned IPC as APc.. While submitting issue with argument.. We should add some relevant cases right... In those cases ...what we should write.. Eg:tarak Singh v state ,the section 120 of APC Or Tara Singh v state,the section 120 of IPC. Which one is right ma'am
@vlawgish
3 жыл бұрын
In citations, use the word "IPC" only as it might be mentioned in the moot problem that the laws are pari materia with those of India so you can use IPC sections. But when you write in the body of the memorial or when you speak, say "APC". Thus, don't change the case citation.

Refrain from copy pasting but when you do, do give a footnote. Laws can be written as they are. All the best!

I suggest you should not work full time with studies but you can visit office twice a week, do internships in holidays, just relax and don't run. There is no destination in law, don't strain yourself, enjoy the journey that'll continue forever :)
