With the KK hand, keep in mind that even if your live read is that the person is strong/confident, that doesn't mean you need to be fearful of a super monster hand. A strong/confident hand on that board could be a lot of pocket pairs that you beat, especially given the double flat preflop his hand looks a lot like 55-JJ that we need to get value from. And as you said earlier, bet/folding is very powerful in low stakes game so that river spot is a very very easy bet/fold as lower pairs will call, and hands that have us beat will raise.

Hey Greg, I’ve noticed you slightly overvalue straight draws on flush draw boards. It’s a way bigger deal in PLO and you don’t have to always nit it up in those spots but it does cut down on clean outs. I think you could have folded the double gutter that multi-way but have no idea how loose the table was playing. Hope that didn’t come off as too high and mighty, love the content.

Hi Greg, love the vlog. One 'mistake' I think you are making, where you could massively reduce your losses is when the flop comes with two to a flush and you don't have any of those cards, you tend to bet. If you play this situation as a small pot, and fold to any agression if the flush comes in, you will save yourself a fortune. It's very difficult to get someone off a flush draw by betting, so just minimising the pot and trying to get cheaply to the river is far better. You may get someone to fold a low flush but it is always tricky, and hard to guage.

lol you referenced the video that made me laugh the entire time, you earned my subscribe yesterday. Greg, I'm not sure if other people commented also but in low stakes like 1/2 and 2/5... 8 out of 10 times when people raise on the river.. they usually aren't bluffing. Maybe take mental notes even when you're not in a hand and remember what the villain has when you see a showdown on a raised river to confirm what i'm saying. maybe you can save some more money down the road!

Something I realize and this is what makes poker very unique is that guys like Greg and sometimes even Brad Owen guys who are fundamentally sound and can figure out all the numbers..pot odds, ranges, and a great memory buuut emotions..mf emotions dawg some people can’t fight it and you literally throw away all of your study time and everything you learned because your in an intense spot. A major underrated poker subject that should be talked about more because then u have guys like Greg making poker vlogs playing like a fish with no balls ..be fearless especially with kings man lol

What are you folding to in the first hand? If he had the Queen he already made his straight on the turn and if he had the heart draw he already hit that too, but he checked turn after raising flop. I’m no expert but his line doesn’t make any sense and it seems like you were both playing the board?

  • @tonytonytonytvthealleged1147

That 66 dude is just calling down preflop because the BB called and he’s getting a good price to go set hunting. If you think he’s got A9 suited or 9T suited he would also play that preflop same way. Simply getting a good price. When he checks flop and u bet and he calls he’s just seeing if your gonna slow down eventually he’s got a bluff catcher against more premium hands like AK AQ AJ. It sucks I know but you gotta take a lot when they give you a little and atleast barrel the turn. Even if he’s slow playing you with 9x he would call the turn to not scare you off and then check raise on the river. Essentially the turn barrel would have been benchmark time to see where he stands and raise your suspicion. On the river if he checked again you lose nothing by checking down with showdown value but atleast you got value on the turn

Same, the fact that he slowed down after the check raise really capped his range, as he either has 2pairs or sets. The only possible other hand he could have is maybe kq with one heart, but u have a king in ur hand so he would have less combos of that.
