A team of special force ops, led by a tough but fair soldier, Major "Dutch" Schaefer, are ordered to assist CIA man, Colonel Al Dillon, on a rescue mission for potential survivors of a Helicopter downed over remote South American jungle. Not long after they land, Dutch and his team discover that they have been sent in under false pretenses. I was 7 when this film came out and was probably to young to watch and really understand this film at that age.. As an adult today it's just phenomenal how this flick unfolds..

it looks off. The AI upres makes it look unnatural. It's too smooth. A film overscan at 6k or 8k would preserve the grain and color but this AI upres kills it. makes it look a midjourney image. How you can say that this looks great is beyond me and people who like watching their films like this must have a screw loose

And this is the scene that takes us out of the action movie we've been enjoying and drops us straight into a horror movie. Already in progress.
Arnold was never given the credit he deserved for his acting ability. It's unfortunate. He killed it in every role he ever played in the action genre.

A legitimate statement! Arnold does 360 ark with his acting performance - from confidence, domination and control to doubt, anger and panic to confusion, fear and despair all the way to state of utter horror at which point he finds his confidence again, becomes dominant and starts to take control.
I swear the 80s action movies are timeless crazy we had this and lethal weapon come out the same year
Soldier: - "¿Qué pasó, mujer? Mujer, ¿qué pasó? ¿Qué fue lo que viste? ¿Quién fue?" (What happened, woman? Woman, what happened? What did you see? Who was it?) Woman:- "No sé, no sé." (I don't know, I don't know). Soldier: - "Dime, mujer." (Tell me, woman) Woman: - "No sé, la selva se lo llevó. No estoy segura. No sé." (I don't know, the rain forest took him. I'm not sure. I don't know.) Soldier: - "She says the jungle, just came alive and took him." Apollo: - "Bullshit, it's not what she said. What she said does not make any sense."

Never understood why the director didn't put subtitles so we could understand exactly what she was saying. Remember, Poncho was paraphrasing what he said after the brief interrogation.

@@largol33t1 I would say it was a deliberate choice by the director. Remember that the name of the game on this movie was the fear of the unknown, the unseen thing that was hunting them. Not being able to fully understand what the woman was saying (if you don't speak spanish) adds just an extra grain of sand to that pile of uncertainty. At least that's my take on it...
Fun Fact: Hawkins (Shane Black) was killed off first bc he was a writer and producer and wouldn't do script re-writes on scene for free and the studio wasn't happy.
