    Thank you Brunswick!!! Man so good seeing a one handed lefty reviewing! I was very intrigued with this ball being that I love lo diff stuff in general but this looked really strong and was kinda nice not having HK22 in something to give us more choices to fine tune arsenals. Well done Luke! Can't wait to see what's next.

    This one, an Envy Tour, NU Blue, or a Sensor Solid I think would be very safe, lefty friendly options to try out if you're interested.

    Thank you, Luke! Exactly what I needed to hear...confirmed my suspicions to the letter. Went to my PSO today still deciding between the Envy Tour and the Scorpion LF. As a Hammerhead nine times over, I wanted something between the Envy and the Purple Hammer and these two were the finalist. I was concerned about the Envy Tour cover, despite the medium diff, because it might not enough of a difference. Based on my layout and release, I wanted a smooth 9 to 10 at the arrows to about 4 or 5 at the breakpoint with later roll. Between that and going a pound lighter, I decided on the Scorpion LF. Keeping fingers crossed...

    I liked this video. I appreciate that you included the 12lb numbers. After injuring my elbow I had to drop down to 12lb. Now that my elbow is getting stronger I'm not feeling inclined to go back up in weight because I would need to replace about 7 balls. One interesting thing I've noticed is that all of my 12lb balls have the exact same RG & DIF. This is good for me because I have only been bowling for about 1 year. With the covers and pin positions as the only variables that I have to work with it makes ball changes easy to figure out depending on what the lanes are giving me.

    As an EBI and now B7 guy it blows my mind seeing Luke throwing them.. you can tell he has thrown SPI for awhile… if this is going to be a regular thing I’m looking forward to it… drill B7 balls just little weaker than you would a SPI and you are off to the races

    For me i had to hit with 360/1000/3000 to get it to really match up to me. Its also too sensitive to rev rate variations out of box, so make sure it fits perfect. Mine flared a ton with a 4.5" pin, flares slightly less at 3k. Id also suggest refreshing the cover as soon as you have any burnishing. At box finish i burnished in 5 shots at nationals. At home on wood, took a few games. After taking it up to 3k , made it 6 games so far with only slight burnishing.

    If you’re familiar with the Arson Low Flare, are there similarities ball motion wise to the Scorpion?

  • @LukeRosdahl

    @LukeRosdahl

    5 ай бұрын

    Yes and no. The same general round shape yes, but the Scorpion is both stronger and sharper. The Arson was more in the IQ strength zone, more of a medium strength control ball. This is more like a strong control ball for when you have plenty of oil to work with.

    Is this comparable enough to the Hyped Solid to replace it? I had mine stolen at a tournament, but I am starting to dabble into B7 equipment. Lefty 2H that throws 14 lbs as well. I had the Hyped at 5 1/4 x 3 1/2 x 3 1/2. Of note, I also have a TDX and DV8 Trouble Maker.

  • @LukeRosdahl

    @LukeRosdahl

    Nah, the Hyped Solid is right on top of the IQ Tour Solid, and this one is quite a bit stronger than both of those. Be a good option if you want a step up, but if you want a similar replacement, this one isn't it.

  • @LukeRosdahl

    @LukeRosdahl

    Nah, the XP is basically an IQ Solid with a little more diff, this ball is still quite a bit stronger than the XP, so I'd say the same there too, if you like the XP but want a similar look in a stronger ball, this one would be a good choice.

  • @LukeRosdahl

    @LukeRosdahl

    3 ай бұрын

    Eh, few bad decisions there then, or somebody gave you some bad information. Envy Tour is one of the earliest balls out there, and going pin down on that kind of ball isn't a great idea, because it's already got a low differential and int diff, and going pin down nerfs those even further without making it a whole lot longer, so you're going to end up with a still early but very slow ball reaction, so it's not going to be terribly forgiving. There's a ton of space between the 2.0 hybrid and NU, so you'll have to be a little more specific with the kind of ball reaction you want, I could rattle off a dozen different balls that would all fit in between there.
