Precision Power Black Ice 7000.1D Amp Dyno and Unboxing

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

When people ask what is the most powerful amplifier you can get for around $200, usually 2 names come up.. The CAB 1600.1 and the Skar RP2000.1D... But is there a 3rd choice? Based on the specs the Precision Power ICE7000.1D offers the best of each of those amplifiers at roughly the same price... But are those numbers legit? In this video we will unbox this Precision Power amplifier and strap it up to the test bench for a dyno run and see what this amp can ACTUALLY do.

Thanks for finally making a true clamp video for this amp. I bought the first version of this amp(same guts) three years ago for $189 I think. Bought it as a backup just to have. Then decided to put it in my work truck on 2 sa 12's at .6 nominal with 2 C&D batt's plus under hood battery. Mind you I do watch my voltage at the amp and never push it below 12.2 ish. Needless to say it been taking a beating and never a hiccup even in Hot Houston summers. Best money for reliable power I have spent in a while. Love the videos also👌

I don't care if it's scar audiopipe cab ppi lanzar or dual, the power you get for the money your spending is outstanding! Back in the 80's you'd be lucky to find 100 watts for 250 or less. Love the testing. Love the videos you and Derek do. Wish Meade would start doing them again. But this is awesome power for Penny's.

Yeah not bad numbers but that amp load efficiency is where it would get me. You look at other amps say for instance big d just tested the prime 1200 and the efficiency on a amp like fosgate you're getting more power with less of a power munching monster issue. I used to love ppi. I used to run ppi pro flats(giving away my age lol) but they did slide down hill going Chinese guts. Without a montage of batteries my little ol single mechman 240 and interstate battery couldn't do it. I loved the vid, in fact about 6 months to a year ago I almost bought this amp. Loved getting to see it tested

The infinity mids are the only components that I can leave the eq completely flat and they sound phenomenal. I love these informative videos. Would you please do the black ice 5000. 1d. I strap tested @ 500 rms. @ 4 ohms. It is rated at 1200 @ 4 ohms. It's not .5 ohm stable so I figure I could get around 900 out of it when I upgrade my charging system. I just purchased the last one on Amazon and plan on strapping the two amps to two Deaf Bonce 15 db-sa 255 dual 2 ohm wired series all the way to 8 ohms to go into the strapped amps at 4 ohms. I know most prefer the spl of the 2ohm down to .5 ohm configurations, however I have always enjoyed the sound of 4 ohm final impedance. For you to do this test would mean a lot as the 15's are rated @ 1000 rms. To know for sure my amps come close will allow me to start my build soon. I have 2 P 3 Rockford Fosgates now and a very laughable 0 gauge to 3/4 gauge for surround amps. The ppi 5000 is running off of 2 gauge with a 2.5 farad cap. I know, junk. It's just what I've had for years. Thanks so much regardless if you do decide to do the test.

I don't want anything lower than 2ohms. I want a amp that makes its 1000 watts at four ohms and is under two hundred dollars. I feel that at lower ohms , sound gets flabby and its harder to control . This amp dynoing is like car dynoing , it gives you output and that's about it. What about sound? How the power gets used? Is the amp transparent ? There's more than just numbers. I have a boss onyx ndx 5500 that I'm having a hard time giving up due to how it sounds, I have two 501s rockfords just waiting to go on my dark audios . I known that boss ain't any where close to numbers but it sounds reaaaaaal good. I run my system all year round and that boss turns on and works flawlessly at -40 degrees and has yet to over heat, it welded two subs and went to protect and still works. What I'm saying is even if these amps don't hit numbers it doesn't mean there junk. I used to only run Rockford and pioneer that's it. I started a family and now I tend to like cheap/free stuff. If you are good and know what your doing a person can make junk into workable . I get comments from random music listening peoples a lot of the time so I must be doing it right, right?

It will make the signal clip and possibly damage your other gear. You can set up a amp properly without bass boost.
