Of course, they got heavy fire. They wasted minutes standing out in the front yard while putting on their masks, hats, and gloves. What did they do all the way to the fire? We used to hit the ground running. If you were suited up when you got there you could always take it off if you don't need it. Other than that, They did a great job.

WoW Point Pleasant fire company is the slowest to enter a house with a dryer fire a whole 9 to10 mins before the hose entered the house.. I put them as a Fail for quick response..but Nice for getting the fire out fast..

Where do you even get that number? It was coming out white/grey I would bet an extinguisher was used prior to the arrival…it didn’t turn black until he opened the door. Read the color of the smoke, you will know when they have water on it. They were spraying where it caught fire in the dryer vent. You can see it turning grey/white which means water. Besides you don’t rush, everyone was out, it is not worth losing a firefighters life for rushing.

3 Chief's on scene before the first apparatus... SMH. Maybe they should try a hose load that isn't going to end up like a bunch of spaghetti when they deploy it, and it won't take five guys to flake it out. Maybe those knuckleheads should learn how to OPEN a window instead of busting the hell out of it and the frame... If you have a FAN, you don't need hydraulic ventilation, although I really wouldn't call it that when you're using a straight stream... SMH

And, propping the front door open without a charged hoseline, just feeding the fire with all that oxygen flowing in. And all that getting their gear on in front of the house was very time consuming, too slow. That hydraulic ventilation was a joke, guy doesn't know how to use a nozzle.

Generally not a bad response. On this video I didn’t see a clear 360 of the property, nor super clear instructions to each truck on what to do on arrival. But it looks like they may have had this just that we didn’t see it.

Shocked at how poor these guys are. Turned up , opened the door and let the fire get a nice flow of air then went in with an uncharged line. One guy even goes in without his fire hood on. This is how firefighters get killed and seriously injured for no reason.

Overall I think they did a good job. Bread and butter fire. My only suggestion is that they could have horizontally vented the window on the Bravo side where the smoke was coming from before the push was made. It would have improved conditions for the hose and search teams. That buys some time for others to arrive, get the stick into place and vent the roof. And the driver of the stick had good placement. Get the stick up right after the lines are charged.

@@gregggoss2210 In Point Pleasant Beach, just north of Bay Head, and east of Point Pleasant (where the video occurs), we had the same setup as you describe. The pull boxes were phased out in the 80’s, but the central air horn remained another decade or two as a general alarm, eventually replaced by an electronic horn that emulates the old sound.

@NJCommutr , the town would give out a cardboard placard that had the pullbox numbers and locations. Whenever you heard it going off, we as kids would get on our bikes and head in that general direction to see what was going on. It's funny because later on in my life I became a volunteer firefighter in the town I live in now.

Great job by all . From The chief giving his initial orders to the first due laying in and going to work . Well done . The only thing I would recommend is moving the manpower pool away from the front of the house . Even off to the side where the driveway was would have been a good spot . Now I’m not saying anything was wrong at all , I just personally like to see exactly what’s going on upfront . But again nothing was wrong just a personal preference of mine . Great job everyone stay safe out there . Another great video .. Thanks for taking us to the front lines again . Please continue to stay safe out there especially responding to these calls .
