I've never been the one to engage in such charismatic acts in the church. But, that's me: Psalms 105:15 NKJV [15] Saying, “Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm.”

God gives you a choice, praise is sacred and has to come from the Holy Spirit or your will to praise. God doesn’t force anyone.

Teach this is a mature conversation that needs to be had. The instruction can’t be everybody do this now. Can’t praise under pressure. We are all at different spaces and places. Let that praise come out of that person at the right time. Keyword you said Liberty! Great video!

The "church" should be ashamed of themselves for "shaming" others about the way they praise God.... AND we wonder why no one comes through the doors. SMH... blessings Sister ❤.

7:55 and 10:24 This reminds me of what Pastor Allen Parr said about why he stopped speaking in toungues. He said that he used to fake speaking in tongues because it was an expectation of his church and he was concerned of not fitting and being judged because everyone was speaking tongues and he felt pressured to do so. That reminds me of the high energy praise people may be pressured to perform you pointed out. Thank you for sharing.

The fake praise is not of God. Forced and manipulated praise is something the black church has bad and it needs to stop!

The church I use to attend was a Pentecostal church and they are Big on showing praise. I remember a service where the crowd didn't respond like they wanted so the praise team was blamed and yelled at for not praying enough through the week. I don't miss being on the praise team it literally gave me anxiety.

Good word sis but I would like to add that church hurt is a real thing. I want to remind everyone that what some church people do have nothing to do with God and his word. So walking away from God and his word based off of hypocritical leaders is not wise. You can ask God to help you find somewhere else that is true to him and his holy words. God bless.

About ten years ago, I recall a pastor tried to force me to give a public testimony. She was mentoring me at the time. I didn't feel it was one, and I objected to it and stood my ground. She was furious and told me I needed, "Immediate bible study." Emmm..ok. The Lord told me to confront her. I point blank told her she was controlling and manipulative. I also informed her that my relationship with the Holy Trinity was strong. I would gladly share a testimony if I was instructed to via the Father, the Son, and the Comforter. No mankind or womankind dictates me. She was speechless. I never showed my face in that church again. I remember seeing her at a local convenience store about a year later, and she acted scared of me. I promise you I was respectful yet stern. Then I recall her sending me a friend request on LinkedIn. I declined it and blocked her

That is a woman who is accustomed to being obeyed without question. Probably a Jezebel spirit. She had never encountered someone with backbone, and it scared her. She didn't know how to react. She avoided you out of fear, you unsettled her. Then trying to friend you on LI...because she has respect for you. Nuts. LOL
