Chuck is absolutely adorable. I think it's beautiful how he attempts to befriend so many different species of animals. Chuck is one very special boy 😊❤

I agree. If people are adopting ANY animal they should do thorough research. I have known people who bought or adopted on impulse and those animals did NOT have the life, the love, or the care they needed. Obviously this little tyke found the PERFECT HOME. His adorable in-your-face personality attests to that.

My dad and uncle had pet prairie dogs for pets when growing up in Wyoming in the 1920's.

​@catzenhouse I see those things in the western states all the time! Oddly friendly little things. One climbed in my lap and ate a granola bar in Utah. I imagine they tame pretty easily.

Cute, but google "prairie dogs and plague." They are quite susceptible and can spread it to other species, including humans.

Prairie dogs and capybaras. They love everybody. And are so dang cute too.

Not true 😅 Prairie dogs are actually very aggressive usually and will leave some mean bites!! They can be quite nippy actually so they aren’t recommended as a family pet

I love Chuck -- what a sweetheart (Luna too)! Prairie dogs are precious!! It's unthinkable that where I grew up, there were people who would shoot them for fun. 😢😢To imagine someone harming these precious creatures is sickening. I got in many school yard fights over that. No animal should ever be harmed for fun! Hopefully seeing a video like this will educate some thoughtless hunters.

Absolutely lovely of this family to care for these two. They couldn’t possibly be released to the wild cause they’ve got no fear

They’re social animals so it’s better for them if you get them a buddy 😅 Also they can be nippy especially if not handled enough..they need a lot of attention

Chuck is so beautiful. And such a sociable little guy. What a little sweetheart. Do you guys know about another popular prairie dog, on here, named Poppy? She is just as sweet as Chuck. And lives with her mum & dad in America (I think?). She has little adventures like Chuck. And is much loved & adored like Chuck. 😺♥️🙂♥️👍

At the first Rest Area going into Utah from Wyoming on I-80 the Welcome Center bldg had several prarie dogs that would hang around the entrance where people would go in to use the facilities. I spent some time with them when I made weekly trips. I was telling people how the little critters liked to taste the sweat off your fingers to identify if they know you. They would try following me into the bldg. After a few months I noticed that most were gone. I'm afraid the State must have had complaints and removed them. Some people just don't know how gentle and friendly they can be and like the cat get scared. I looked forward to bring them seeds and nuts. It's too bad that we can't share our world a little better.

This video was heart warming, Jazak'Allah in this World for helping our furry friends 💓.

Fr..this was NOT cute. Dogs can have high prey drive sometimes and those huge wild birds were a threat to the little guy

Chuck looks like he hasn't missed any meals. Pretty soon they'll be calling him Chunk. Okay, we all tend to spoil our pets. That's just part of the relationship.

Chuck is adorable! Thankfully his owners kept him, loved him and kept him safe! Because he is too friendly and sometimes that can be dangerous esp w/pepo! Not all pepo take too kind towards animals but how do an animal no that? Chuck is so friendly I would have been so scared for him to end up w/bad pepo
