Peter should be a good pick for a second. He knows the players that are the favorites to win quite well, and he's probably one of the most experienced seconds you could hire, and on top of it, he's one of the most friendliest and respected players. Just remember things don't always go to plan. Fabi and Hikaru are apparantly these massive favorites. They're, but not by these wide margins. In fact, I could see one of them losing a game early in the tournament. They have the most pressure on them, and there are times that pressure can get to them. I'm gonna call it. One of them will be two or three points back of the leader by the midway point.

so heres my prediction 1. Caruana(no explanation needed) 2.Hikaru (good form and hes mentally in a very good place) 3. Pragg (he is very hard to beat and very mature for his age , so when most players are prone to catastrophic collapse pragg would secure vital draws and get 3rd) 4.Vidit (this is doubtful considering his bad form in the last tournament ..but i think vidit is very solid and mentally strong/ mature to not go on a downward spiral after a loss or 2) 5.Nepo ( hes completely shattered after the game against ding ,no confidence, no motivation , not seeing any brilliant games recently from him ,no good tournament recently and very bad form ) 6.firouzja(his fashion designing nonsesnse wont help here and he barely qualified , he did unethical ways to qualify, so god wont be happy upon him..is he even doing chess anymore?) 7.Gukesh (ah , he needs to calm down a bit and play solid sometimes and not push for win all the time ...he gets very nervous in crtical position which wont help him that much either..i fear he might loose an early game and go on a downward spiral and loose bunch trying to win all the rest of the games ..but im sure he would provide entertaining games ;) ) 8. Abasov ( alright , how did he qualify again ? would have loved Nodirbek or keymar or erigaisi instead, but it is what it is)
