Would stuff like this be possible in resin ? Just bought the saturn ave an ender 3 pro ,saturn hasn't arrived yet realising it has a few limits opposed to fdm for like living hinges ,but not sure about just normal non living hinge print in place normal hinges, gears and stuff ,I'm assuming not easy anyway as I haven't seen much info on the subject

@@3DPrintingNerd the cheapest Ender 3 V1 goes for around $340. Sure it doesn't seem that expensive but it's almost 2 minimum wages. Import tax in Brazil is a pain. I'm saving up to get it and hopefully the rates will go down soon. Still I love to watch maker content such as yours, you do a brilliant job at this!

I would try printing the snaps on their side. It would make the snap a continuous strand of filament instead of stack layers. The down side you would only get a half circle without supports.

Joel/Sean, could you try to put the info boxes on the screen not all the way in the bottom? That way they are covered by the captions which means I have to rewind and watch without them to be able to read them. Placing them just a smidge higher will make your video’s that much more accessible!

I printed the roll top mini but the whole thing was fused :( Any idea what I did wrong? Edit: I did use a brim, maybe that was the issue?

I find using a little PTFE lube goes a LONG way to making smooth moving 3D printed parts. I put some in a dispensing syringe and it works great and makes otherwise impossible to move parts move relatively easily.

same here just started the top scaled everything down to 90% though

I would have mixed some super glue and bicarbonate of soda and used that to build up that warped surface and then sanded it to size

Donate it to a school or library, perhaps? School would be my first choice, since it could be used as a teaching model for maintenance and upgrades (I have a 3 Pro).

if you print them in nylon soak those things after for maximum flex.

The proper question is "where can I buy..." There is a web site that explains in detail and sells several 3D Gloop products. There are not cheap, but usually a small amount is needed for each use.

3d printing and CNC machining all need some persuasion, CNC it's a hammer, file or welding, and 3d printing it's sandpaper, razors and glue.

You need to make it BIGGER !!!!!!!

That'll be a lot smoother if you use ptfe lube

Why im posting at 5am is this... Some popular influencer working to stop the comunity from having the ability to sell there owns licences. They say that is there possition when asked but tthen asked me to not name them...as if ashamed of them selves perhaps. In that case American influencer working to stop its own America comunity from being able to sell there own biznesses. This is actually happening. Ask your influencers there position on this. Its either Allow the sale of your own licence. Like up until recently it was working but went down. Or no the comunity should loose that service now trapping all owners so you cant sell your own bizness as we were doing. Ask your influencer. Kings remain holding kings positions and remove the comunity ability from buying them out or buying in and up. So kings set your terms and royalty prices for the comunity forever. Or does your influencer perfer the comunity be able to earn and buy your way in and up. Remember without websites with operating licence transfers when you upload your trapped into never selling your own bizness and there are influencers working for that outcome.....ask your influencer are they for ability to sell your own bizness or not. Or they may not care either way. No problem for long term players who already hold the kings positions. They either trapped as king forever. Else option 2 they may sell out to someone else in the comunity if they choose to. What does the comunity perfer? What does your influencers perfer.? Are the up for being named? Funny how that one i didnt name said publicly he was against resuming this bizness service but in that post adked me not to name him. Weird i thought. So i say now ask your influencer.

Even if you designed it and printed it at home dont mean you have the right to sell it. Pirates are getting nailed. I was almost banned permanatly from selling any thing ever again cause licence checks let me down....just over trying to sell one 3d print. Newbs sure are getting played into sites with no operating licence sales. You cant sell out newb. You are trapped as owner. Others trapped outside who cant buy the licence to sell what they want. Hmmm... 1. New thing to try, yay! 2. Is it odd that my first thought on a fix for the print fails... wasn't an adhesive? My thought was to grab one of my 3D pens, set the disc parts of the failed pieces in place (mostly for the asthetics), attach them to the first piece with with the pen by filling the holes, then repeating with the second piece. Yes, I'm odd. It's one of my more charming features.

The fasteners are bad design, they should be printed in a different orientation, the designer just needs to remove the circle from the back so it can lay down on the bed

Or reduce it, since I think some sort of bump out would still be needed to hold it in place. Perhaps make it a half circle for a flat side on the build plate. I was printing several shelf and pegboard prints a while back, and that seemed to be a common technique.
