Any respectable heavy metal fan should know about Savatage

Savatage is one of the best bands ever, and Powerwolf totally did them justice with this cover. I love Powerwolf too, and they are starting to become one of my favorite bands the more i listen to them.

This band is the best. Dorn's vocals never cease to amaze, the guitar play is (as always) top notch, and the atmosphere is incredible.

You do NOT cover Savatage, lest ye risk looking like a bunch of tools. But Power-fuckin-Wolf pulled this off, and brilliantly! One of the best metal covers I've ever heard.

an incredibly respectful cover :) i've also added this to my 'ultimate playlist' playlist, because one version of this song is never enough... and hearing it twice will only make me happier :)

Powerwolf uses perfectly the organ in every cover.

you would think powerwolf wouldnt do good job with making cover over song which involves romance,when they have such dark songs and some songs with their dark humor such as Coleus Sanctus and Ressurection By Erection ... but hey .. they did amazing job... it's just that perfect

I'm a huge fan of the series but never think power metal when it comes to playing it.

I like this cover way better than the original.

Savatage is incredible! Hall Of The Mountain King, Power Of The Night, Gutter Ballet and Edge Of Thorns destroys any modern metal.

Easier said then done, criss is awsome and the only person close is Chris caffery.

Fantastic cover. No disrespect to Zach Stevens but I never cared much for his voice. Dorn made this song better. Of course Criss's playing is a large part of what made Savatage but whoever powerwolf has on guitar did amazing too.
