@florianwerk4505 don't let the color pip fool you. This isn't for red decks. It's for multi color with red in them. Red is the only color without a single mana top deck tutor so you can only rely on top or less good artifacts which u won't do. For everyone else this enable instant speed wins with top deck manipulation that allows you to sneak in after a stack war. At its worst it's just small value. Hit a two drop counterspell on grand abolisher, underworld, or even hit a drannith. With how similar decks are today and lower cmc, this is heat.

I think this will be a great card in Elsha of te Infinite. Alongside with Counterbalance this can produce alot of value for you, especially with option to cast spells from top of your library in response to both triggers

I think that any deck that already runs Sensei's Divining Top for whatever reason may benefit from this. Citadel decks heavily benefit from also already running top in their list, so this is just more synergy with that. I'm currently testing it in Ob Nixilis and it feels a little weird without top on the field. This definitely has cool potential though.

Im adding this in a staxier shell of Minsc, Timeless Hero. The double red is a bitch but I think with the rest of the deck focused on prolonging the game, that gives a lot more time to shine for these tasty 2 mana value engines (Power Balance and Birthing Ritual)

What's funny is, if you play with some form of lantern of insight, it might make people think twice before playing spellsn that they know will give you value. While they would have probably taken the risk anyway if they didn't know. It's probably not relevant to the power of the card but I love the lil psychological stuff like that.

My gut reaction is that this is nowhere near as good as Counterbalance. First, you don't get any value when revealing a land. Second, in cedh many deck slots are spells that you don't just want to cast whenever, but rather the timing of when you cast them is very important. And if you are cutting counterspells and other spells that have a huge timing-based floor/ceiling ratio to make this card better, that just seems like a bad idea.

Top deck manipulation is going to be way stronger with this card, and this has sneaky utility. Counterbalance and vamp tutor can counter most spells, but powerbalance and vamp tutor could also counter most spells in a properly constructed deck, if backed into a corner. You can mana drain a thassas oracle or force of will an ad nause.

Counterbalance does less than power balance because you don’t want to counter every single thing that goes on the stack and you can decline the trigger

4:15 powerbalance does not counter the opponents stuff, so people probably won't play around it. At least in the beginning And if a counterbalance is sitting there "doing nothing", that nothing could be keeping the opponent from playing the cmc that was shown before by counterbalance. and impacting the way the opponent plays seems like something. Powerbalance looks like a lot of fun, but im not sure if it works well for sisay or Korvold. As always great Video and hope youre doing well.

It's the exact same composition. Just more traditionally painted. That is the vibe the wizards was going for with this set (nulldrifter is a keen example of this). So set wise it fits perfectly. You probably just prefer more modern art with digital effects. Nothing wrong with that, but powerbalance's art definitely isn't bad

@@tokertalk9648 Green gets burst draw from creatures. It can draw a ton off Rishkar's Expertise and such effects. Or Momentous Fall type cards. Those are always bad in CEDH though. But Green is like 2nd in draw after blue in cards and amounts the color can draw.
