Also thats Grant doing the growling. He is in fact very good at leveling his harshes to the music. And hes nuts (and we love him for it)

Another good one. Brittany, if I am remembering correctly, is classically trained. They are a Canadian band and well-known in the metal world. Unfortunately, the music industry in the US doesn't favor this kind of music. It doesn't fit within their money-making parameters. Thank goodness for KZread which gives us insight into all the music that we are missing.

If I remember correctly from the Charismatic Voice interview she is trained, yes. Interestingly not as a solo vocalist but mostly for choral music

Excellent thanks Maria! I wanted to show you how versatile they are. Awakening isn't necessarily typical of them overall (though still my favorite). Brittany doesn't need to go full bore, and the guys can be subtle. And you're not crazy they're big fans of 80s music. Also I picked this because Old Skule Nerd kinda requested it, and the bearded guy and the red headed guy at the beginning of the video. Nerds 100 percent. Hi Mike and Brock! (Mike came all the way from Oregon to Wisconsin to see Unleash the Archers and Seven Spires) Thanks again!

It’s funny you said throw back to the 80s because I was thinking the same thing right when you said that. The first thing that popped into my head was Survivor’s Eye of the tiger…. I really enjoy listening to your channel. Keep up the good work!

@Why Am I Reacting: You're absolutely right on Brittney having a strong voice. In a recent interview, Brittney said that for Phantoma, her actual power capacity and power levels both went up after she gave birth, if you can believe that. That said, I wanted to give you a few performances, both Brittney without the band, and with the band, so you can see how powerful her voice really is. First up, without the band: 1) Fate of Man, Star-One. This is song based on the Terminator movie universe, and is an Arjen Lucassen song. 2) Queen of the Reich, Queensryche Karaoke cover. This took place in 2017, in an Edinburgh, Scotland, pub after Brittney and the band finished the last tour performance in Europe. Brittney's first high sustained note gives me chills. 3) Brindisi, Opera sung with Lords of the Trident lead singer. Over a Skype call, Brittney proves she is just as versatile as Floor Jansen of Nightwish, singing opera. With Unleash the Archers: 1) Abyss. The first track off of the album Abyss, Brittney's voice grabs you and doesn't let go. 2) Time Stands Still. This song has Brittney hitting a note so high it sounds like a guitar. 3) Test Your Metal. A fun, '80s-style punk-rock style song, Brittney shows off her inner Ratt and Twisted Sister vocally. Whichever one you choose to react to next, Maria, I guarantee that you will enjoy whatever you react to, if you love listening to Brittney sing.

You should try and react to the whole "Phantoma" album - it's a concept album, so this song is just one chapter of an insanely well-told story.

Brittney is an absolutely top-tier vocalist. She can absolutely hang with the old-school metal greats like Halford and Dickinson, and I hope her career lasts as long as theirs have. The rest of the band is no slouches, either; Scott is an amazing drummer, Andrew and Grant are just phenomenal guitarists and Nick, despite being new to the band is not just a great bassist, but fits right in with the rest of them and has great energy live.
