Great work! Concise and thorough guidance in what is a often a confusing landscape of Microsoft's constantly changing portfolio. Well done.

I liked that show, Parks and Rec, too. I still have Seinfeld on in the background that plays over and over. Never get sick of it.

Hi Brian thanks for the great videos. What is the difference between Dynamics Portal v. PowerApps Portal? Cost, Functionality, etc.?

Brian, at 41:50 of this video you mentioned creating a canvas app or model driven app to be used in the portal. Is it possible to just use the entity form instead of a PowerApp? Can you still run flows on the entity forms? To me, it seems more customizable to use the entity forms instead of model/canvas apps. Especially if the ultimate datasource is CDS.

Is there a front-end to CDS something like SQL Management Studio? How easy/difficult is to Import/Export Data from CDS to Azure SQL? - thanks much

Well executed Brian. Thanks for this 🙂. Is it possible to swap the local and external signIn around - moving the username and password to the right and Azure button to the left, and if it is possible, how please?

Does anyone know if for external authenticated users its 100 log-ins daily, or monthly at that price point?

Hello Brian! Thanks for the great video and the very good explanations! I just tried to do something similar and followed the video step by step. Unfortunately the fields are not displayed. Now I noticed that your fields ("idea" and "name") are not displayed in the video either. So I guess I recreated the same bug :-) Do you have any idea what the problem could be? Thank you very much!

Legend has it that Brian is still trying to create the Parks and Recs page 5 months later hence why he hasn't answered yet.

Hi Brian, Can I import a client database and create a portal for each client on their behalf?

Sure, you would import them into contacts through the Common Data Services Import. Then use something like a Power Automate flow to kick off an invitation for each person to login. - Brian

Another question... I've created a folder for each client in our onedrive for business. Will I be able to connect the ondrive folder with the relevant client?

Hi, if i add an external user on azure portal to enable that user to use my PowerApp app. will there be any extra license fees? thanks

For Power Apps Portals, you buy a login pack if you want users to be authenticated. You can also invite a user to your non portal app if you wish. Here you have to license each user vs a pack of thousands of logins.

I was ready to dive in, then got stopped by the licensing costs. This all has awesome potential, but is completely financially inaccessible for a small company. Great content, but disappointing...
