@@cartierr9 shiver me timbers well done on passing your driving test last week 😂 jokes aside he’s turning the wheel like crazy because its a benz rack and his hand placement is so awkward you can’t deny. then he’s taking his hand off the wheel on top is just a hilarious combination. as an e55 owner these era V8s can easily spin the rears and have a hard time in the corners. mercedes clients were all businessmen who want a comfy cruiser in the 90s and 00s not a stiff sports car.

common conditions

I've done crazy chases as recent as a few months ago. Cars can oversteer/understeer suddenly without reason, even when everything is perfect. This is an accident in the making. I'll still go for canyon runs but would tone it down by 25%. For full send, I take it to the track now. Hope y'all do the same and stay safe!

Believe it or not this is not a full send run. I have other runs where I’ve gone over 10 seconds faster over these 4 miles. this is a 1/4 section we call mile corridor, starting from the first left hairpin to the second left hairpin where the video ends.

Some nice driving on show! If it was me, on that road, I would probably reign it in by maybe 20% but each to their own. Really impressed with the grip on the benz, front end biting nicely and the rear looks solid too

Man, do I miss those interiors! So elegant and beautiful. Everything flows and was symmetrical. Instead we have "tack on" screens with zero integration into the dash.

Friendly advise, I'd include a "dont try this at home" type of disclaimer at the start of the video, its obvious you know both your car and this road to drive that aggressive unlike others who might want to try

VERY Agressive, but nicely between the lines!

When I drove my friend’s C230, I felt the gearing was very long. But perhaps with a big torquey motor, it wouldn’t be a problem. Plus, the steering ratio looks high for the canyon driving like everyone said. Your tires are fantastic. Doesn’t seem pushing at all. The roads look like Mexico Malibu or Mexico lower big Tehunga 👍🏻

Yeah c230’s have no power but get the 3.5 v6 or a v8 with a shorter diff and it makes all the difference.

That's some good serious driving,, I got a car in my garage that'll take turns like that but it can't excellerate like these on video, but it'll hold on ( maybe a mile back ) but it'll do it, it'll take turns now at 80 or 90 compared to just 65, still gotta make my rear end just alittle more stable but man can steer like a sports car, I won't say wut car it is cause you'll only disrespect it, even still this n awsome driving video!

If you haven’t already you should try getting a lot thicker rear sway bars (in comparison to the front) which will help reduce understeer

Yeah I have to at this point. Swapping the V8 in added 90lbs and two extra cylinders ahead on the nose of the car. It already has H&R adjustable front and rear 26/19 mm bars. I’m going to grab a whiteline sway bar next that comes in at 22mm. Hopefully that helps with the initial turn in understeer 👍🏼

That thing looked on the verge of snapping this whole run, i don't think he needs a stiffer rear that's just asking for trouble. If he encounters understeer he just needs to brake and turn in earlier.

@@c55vick I was kinda disappointed by the Mach 1. It is way more precise to drive than a normal Mustang but wasn't superior to other cars in its class. Very cheap though. The thing I hated most was the valve timing which caused a lack of torque at lower rpms. Then, at about 5500 rpm it went lunatic. Why? Kinda felt like a Japanese engine. Older Mustangs were strong from the start. The worst about the Mach 1 is the fact, that it is the only Mustang that doesn't overheat on the Nurburgring, which should be normal for every car... I watch Charoudin often, he drives very good and gives an honest opinion. I like your driving as well. You know how to use a steering wheel (which is rare even in TV car shows).

little too aggressive with the steering, smoothen it out and you will go faster..smoothness with weight transfer gets you there quicker, less heat on those tyres too..

Do you have more info on the manual swap? Like the transmission used, and how to modify the ECU to ignore the missing auto trans? Will it pass OBD2 emissions? Looking to put a T56 Magnum F or CD009 in my SLK55

The car started life as a factory 6spd manual C320 Sport Coupe. It’s an oem 716.6. The v6 m112 was yanked out and replaced with a m113 5.4 AMG V8. V8 m113 Harness and a v8 ecu were used and then just switched to manual via Xentry. Everything else was bolt on. Stock trans and diff/axles are handling the power just fine. Little things here and there but reach out to the Mercedes swap shop for any other questions. Also it’ll be easier to find a manual SLK350 and doing a m273 5.5 v8 swap. Same concept, much easier than a trans swap.

Copied from another comment claiming the same thing- Sped up? lol The phone on the dash shows a time of and starts recording at 4:45pm then the time of 4:46pm is shown around the 0:20-0:26 second mark and then at 1:32 a time of 4:47pm is shown. One minute elapsed, one minute of video. If it were slightly in fast motion it would’ve read a later time of 4:48 or more 😆 thanks to these comments I’m gonna start slapping a damn big ass timer on the car 🤦🏻‍♂️
