POV C63 AMG FLAT OUT B2B single lane

Here’s is a recent run for comparison but this time with less grippier tires being 235/40/18 and 245/40/18 Falken RT615k+. Not the grippiest tire but two seconds off my run with the much stickier pirelli Trofeo r’s which means the coilovers, which were setup by Monrovia alignment S/O, are doing a much better job. Car is much easier to place and more balanced than before. Now I need a more aggressive brake pad, I redid the whole system but thought the oem pads would be good enough. They are not. Will be back with better pads and tires to once again go sub 4:10. See you guys soon 🫡

    Hey bro appreciate keeping it in the lane. If I could add any tips, you're really see-sawing at the wheel mid-corner. You need to lift your eyes up, you're looking too close infront of your own hood and not at the exit of the corner. Maybe it's because the road is so bumpy you';re just adjusting for that, but to me it feels like you need to eyes up, eyes up, eyes up! Stay safe out there. Driving at 10\10ths with no margin is a dangerous game.

    It’s what happens when you push a 4K lb 500hp sedan through tight canyon roads and try to balance the front end grip and the powerful rear end. Smooth is fast and while it may seem extremely rough, it’s about as neat as a run as this pace can get. You can see after a few corners just how this balance act works, trying not to drift by not lose grip or momentum, it’s no easy task.

    Amazing skills, road and car, congrats! 🎉 I have to ask though have you tested how the car behaves with stock suspension (because I read in other comments it's tuned up a bit), and I wonder how much of a difference there is between stock and tuned up. At this moment I can drive these kind of cars only in videogames, so I am keen to know your experience.

    Check out my video where I run stunt road and Redbox. The car was on the original 100k mile p31 suspension. When I did the run the stock suspension was great but the body roll was much more significant, I’d attribute it to the old tired shocks. Fresh shocks/struts will always make a significant improvement. The coilovers tightened everything up but the car is still very heavy so roll is still present but it’s more controllable and the car is settled even under uneven surfaces. Coilovers aren’t always the answer, if Bilstein or Koni made replacement shocks for w204 C63’s I’d rather have done that tbh.

    Pretty awesome! Probably wouldn't have the balls to do the same, but then again I never drove anything with over 160hp haha. This heavy sedan is like on rails. Also, you know your driving is pretty damn good when people call your videos "sped up" 🤣 Lol, after writing "I wouldn't have the balls to do the same" I just remembered the shit I would do with my FSO Polonez on village roads. Lucky that thing probably made like 60whp at best, but it drove and steered like a drunk villager's wheelbarrow overfilled with manure (still love it though) Still wouldn't have the balls or skills to push an AMG like that lol. Great video once again, keeps you on the edge. Would like to try this road even for a calm drive, but I'm from Europe, there's probably locations just as nice here and probably way easier to reach for me :P Most importantly, stay safe and don't bring us car lovers more bad rep and unwanted attention! Thanks for doing it single lane and not acting like this is your private closed road! Big thumbs up 👍👍👍

    One of my favourite videos. I do a very similar hillclimb with my manual w204 diesel , stock 400Nm+ of Torque. But i have never turned off ESP. Why do you? Could you please tell me the difference that the ESP makes for your LSD C63 and non LSD C55? A big thank you from Spain

  • @c55vick

    @c55vick

    4 ай бұрын

    I have better control of the locking with the lsd using my right foot that trusting the esp to sort it out. On the C55’s I always turn it off because it’s too intrusive but its never truly turned off, it will intervene when the yaw angle/steering angle is too great a difference. On the 203 it still lets me spin the inside tire a bit but the brake will actuate to force torque on the tire with traction but the drawback is it cuts power while doing it. The 204 c63 LSD is butter smooth imo even with 100k miles, it’s a drexler clutch type from factory. It’s very easy to control all the power even with traction off once you get used to it. ESP will cut power and make small slip angle transitions rough, whereas the with the LSD and ESP off you can easily smooth it out with the throttle. Hope that helps answer your question. 👍🏼

  • @c55vick

    @c55vick

    5 ай бұрын

    @@TheGetTricky yes and no. If you just throw coilovers on any car and don’t set it up I can make the ride worse. My setup was ordered with the stiffest springs swift made for this car for the front only, the rears are the stiffest bc made for this car. The dampers are then set to 3-5 clicks from full stiff. Also I had the car corner balanced to fully optimize the use of the coilovers. It also helps that I got the camber plates to add camber to better use the tires to there fullest potential. So yes for my specific application it made the handling better but the stock p31 suspension was great, just old at 100k miles. That could’ve made the biggest change imo.
