    Its the tearing down of the younger generation for some weird form of self-validation that gets me. I do look young for my age, and I certainly don't find it necessary to say AND GEN Z DOESN'T to feel that way. The people being like that are definitely projecting or starting to feel their achy knees and are overcompensating.

    I'm GenZ (1997 🎉) no one can guess my age correctly and it makes me cry. Apparently I can look both 16 & 36 at the same time, and it's wild. The horror when someone thought my boyfriend was my son at one point vs the time I got ID'd repeatedly at a bar by security, bartender & a random server on the floor. Both in the same year. I'm so fucking confused.

But you look so young." Thanks??? I still get carded in most places and had an older lady ask me where my parents were because I went to an orientation where minors had to be accompanied by an adult. 🤦 Granted I am 5'2" and everyone in my family looks young for their age. I feel like it's just better to let sleeping dogs lie. Stuff like this might be brought up on social media but to say it IRL would just be mean. If they are aging faster or if they do look a lot older than their years, what's the point of pointing it out 🤷‍♀️ I have seen a fair few of them where they do look considerably older than they are and there's no need to point it out or bring it up on top of that they're around others their own age that look considerably older than they are. It's possible it's just The New normal for them 🤔 if this is the case then thats their perceived reality and so their perspective will be different then ours anyways.

Youth masks flaws and thats why people are so obsessed with it. Someone who's beautiful will be so no matter what age. Think of a woman/man looking sophisticated and sexy 40 up. A lot of them manage to make themselves look way older too and then you can only tell from the kind of people they associate with, which is kids their age.

I don’t think they’re trying to be pick me’s though. It’s understandable that some people would assume that’s the main reason why they say that though. I’m sure some people do say that out of jealousy though. I think if some gen z ppl look older it’s because of genes or because they used a lot of makeup at a young age or drugs. Everyone is different though so some people look older sooner and some people look young for longer amount of time because of our DNA. Overall this short is still funny though lol.

    I think people are mostly pointing out social media influences and indeed most of them look like mid 40s when they are in early 20s but there are many gen Z who look young and fresh. I think it really depends much on your living circumstances and life choices you make, like how much make up you wear, do you smoke, etc. I was in my late 20s like 28 or something when a person in store thought I was 13 and my father was my grandfather 😳 this is because I was make up free and did not wear bra in this day just like many in their 12 and 13s do. Now I am in my early 30s and I am mistaken for early 20s by early 20s people and I don't wear make up but an acquaintance of mine (born same year) used so much make up that she has wrinkles that are similar to 40s 🫣 I have seen men in their 30s who can pass for mid to late 20s and such that look like they can be grandfathers. Most people in the latter group are construction workers or other heavy type of job with lots of dust and dirt around you. The ones who work in office/especially home office and are happy with their life are the ones who appear younger/fresher. So it is partially environmental circumstances and life choices.

I wasn't old enough to wanna participate in all of the millennial habits, but i wasn't young enough to have all the good new sunscreens to try before my 20's (it was all the pasty greasy cheap ones and the tanning oils) so I'm kinda floating in the middle.

    From my experience (as a gen Z) even if someone has great skin and no wrinkles it is still not that hard to guess their age. It's rather that teens have rounder and short face and adults more contoured. Though, it still doesn't mean adult people look bad because of it. Just know that even though you have smooth skin you can still look your age and it's ok. You still look pretty and attractive. Don't need to be bitter to younger people.

    Damn, worst thing is being called mid-twenties when you're 24, that's not even mid-twenties yet and at that age you should be read as early-twenties at most, that means she is in fact looking older than her age

  • @risa4173

    @risa4173

    oh no okay bc tell me why im 24 and i thought i was having a stroke reading this hang on 😭 so, because we’re in our twenties from 20-29, that makes the median value of that set of numbers 24.5, right? however, generally when someone says mid-twenties, they aren’t referring to someone who is exactly 24.5, but a wider age range like 24 and 25. otherwise they wouldn’t say“you look mid-twenties,” they would say “you look 24 and a half.” so when we use 24.5 as a halfway mark, early-twenties is 20 to approximately 22/23. late-twenties is approximately 26/27 to 29. so at the very least, that would make 24 to 25 mid-twenties… because they are years in the middle of our twenties.

  • @louish2037

    @louish2037

    8 күн бұрын

    @@risa4173 Mathematically 24 would in fact fall under mid-twenties but its hardly counted as mid-twenties when seen in real-life or in popular culture, when most people mention early 20's they really mean anyone under 25 and thats how most people would classify it anyways, it's only when you get to 25 or 26 that you start to belong to a different age group than those 18-24 and that's what starts counting as mid-twenties by most peoples standards.... And also appearance-wise most 24 year olds should look rather like people who are early-twenties unless there is some premature aging taking place, I was 24 a year ago and now I'm 25 but people have never thought I was mid-twenties or older than 23 lol, I think physiologically and biologically you should be closer to early-twenties than mid-twenties when you're 24

The company asked her to play Anna and the girl to play Elsa, an older sister. Lol. My mum was mixed up for a student up until she was 35. Even now they give her 25 as maximum age. I look at my classmates and fam, they looked like they r 30 since the age of 15. So, it is true. Gen Z looks way older than they supposed to. (One dude thought i was my mums husband once 💀💀💀)
