Surprised you have the C5 shifter. Look into the C6 shifter. Feel great in the hand, the shifter rod is shorter and it has a 15 degree bend to where it’s angled towards you. Big improvement. I did the mod with the washer on the detent ball and it was a big improvement.

If I were to do it again, I would get solid shifter box mounts or the two piece shifter box mount that sandwiches the rubber isolator better. The rubber mount is “meh”.

For not a lot of money,you get a fast car

The C5 is my favorite generation of Corvettes. Hope to maybe own one someday. Awesome setup and driving. What state is this, because that scenery is amazing. I'm from NYC so I don't see the countryside often

Is your HUD broken? I just spent all of Saturday installing one in my C5 as my car was too early in the model year of 1999 to get one. I mounted the HUD, put in a different gauge cluster, tested it six ways to Sunday as I was installing to be sure I didn't have to take the whole damned thing apart, etc. It works great. I like gizmos so this is perfect for me. Like your vids. Well edited . The best edit if I may. I like your style. This car rips!

Fuel isn’t really the biggest problem with these it’s possible to get 34 mpg with grandma driving but stepping on the gas will get you lil more then 16 mpg also these are really cheap to maintain I’ve done my fair amount of research and insurance isn’t bad since it’s a lot older of a car

@@midnight347 Lol a C6 shifter swap is like $150. Anti-venom and C6 shifter is great. Shorter throw and the shifter is angled towards you so you dont feel like you are gonna put your hand through the radio.

I think if I had a SLP catback that was straight it would shoot flames but even though my catback had no muffler it still curves around. But it has been really reliable!
