@@windstormnintendo The contrary can be said. The fact that Leo wasn't forced to switch to Corrin ( which leo does when he feels he can't win a match up with Byleth) shows how confident and comfortable he is with Byleth.

Underrated commentators. They were incredible. Funny, informative, unbiased, great chemistry, and a great job replaying and breaking it down for new players. Incredible job

If Im correct, Atelier doesnt travel much to these regions. I also dont know how good or bad the Byleth MU is. I know Atelier is amazing, but maybe he needs the experience of fighting the best like Glutonny did when he began to travel more. Wish him the best. MkLeo dominated hard here.

You can watch collision leo vs quidd for another byleth vs pokemon trainer, but you can't really tell the mu because it's leo

The mu is pretty good for pt. Squirtle is great in neutral, all mons can edgeguard Byleth, watergun is a pain since Byleth is sloooow and zard can live up to high percentages. But it's Leo.

Another cool thing, in the first two cases his opponents at low percent, and he capitalises on the conditioning when his opponents at higher percent. The willingness to give up hits at low percents to create an opportunity when it matters is something I wish I was as good at as top players are

Leo really has this matchup down. He destroyed Quidd a little while back and Atelier really wasn't close either

The pandemic threat has subsided, and as we can see, a lot of Smash players have become able to travel and participate in big International tournament. I can’t wait to see what Smash Bros will look like in the future.

This game was mostly done at ledge, and it just didn't work out for Atelier. He's usually really good at ledge, but his options in this set were not. Might be the pressure of fighting the best in the world

@@hyperdansあとりえ自らウルフポケトレっていうサブも含めて真面目に読み合わなきゃいけない構成にした以上、キャラ問題っていうのは言い訳やと思う。手持ちのキャラ構成も含めてプレイヤーの強さなわけやしシンプルにバナムの方がプレイヤーとして優れてただけ。

Not all PT players are the same. Though if you aren’t going to do “Withdraw” for Squirtle Offense and even defense then take him out of there against a ranged character like Byleth. Seems this PT player favored Squirtle and some Ivy time in. When he had Zard in, he didn’t use flame breath or even Flareblitz. Charizard has a good grab range too.

Atelier is a Squirtle specialist. Out of all the PTs, Atelier is the best Squirtle, Quidd is best Ivysaur and Beast is best Charizard specialist. Thats the reason why

Squirtle is probably the best mon most of the time here, and withdraw is not the solution, but rather good spacing and OOS punishes, as well as he should have played more center stage, and not give up ledge as much. Atelier is a monster with his combos and punishes but it didnt shine here

@@GarderN95 you can use withdraw in some nice escape attempts and also jumping away and fooling your opponent just to dash back at them. It can knock an opponent off stage at certain percents. Withdraw can evade some opponent moves too.

@@czyu3361 Well i know て (te) is not pronounced 'to' in japanese, haha, the ri/li is fair enough, but that would still leave it pronounced A-te-ri-e (and where'd the 'r' come from?) If it's a name translation error fair enough but they should really fix that as i recall it being spelled the same in past tournaments, haha

@@ninjablade2 Yeah it's more of a localization issue than translation issue. Atelier's name spelled in Japanese is "あとりえ/Atorie". I don't know what the origin for that name is, but borrowed words from other languages are sometimes spelled phonetically different in Japanese, therefore are pronounced differently

(example- The original is アルトリア･ペンドラゴン which clearly sounds out to Artoria Pendragon, but the developers insist on the localization going with Altria Pendragon, despite that not making sense and wide spread push back from the community, who had already been calling her Artoria for over two years at that point before the localization)
