At 14:17, both players are at 47% when the timer displays 4:07, in addition to ApolloKage’s nametag also being 47, which is fitting because not only does his tag abbreviation go well with the number (AK-47), but according to OrionRank he is the 47th best player in the world. What a fucking coincidence.

AK was looking on a whole another level this match it was a very competitive set. He parried three hits of the neutral air was insane. My favorite set so far.

After seeing this I am convinced Snake is way better then people think. The best snakes need to stop trying to make frame traps true combos, work on their risk-reward, and stay grounded/squat more at lower percents. Because they are losing more games and sets them they should.

Snake is incredibly difficult because of almost 0 combo game and very bad disadvantage. It's basically a 100% freestyle character

Nah, people know how good he is... Alas he still pales to most dlc lol. I used to call him the free DLC character, but he feels bad in some MUs. Apollo put on for them this tourney tho from what I've seen so far. I drastically underrated his ability to come so far.

@@rospoho I disagree on his disadvantage. There are angles that Snake can’t deal with(everyone knows with). Those are bad. But only some characters like Byleth, Corrin, incinaroar, DK, etc have Auto-Angle combos that put you at those spots. Otherwise he has a decent disadvantage. The problem is people believe is only freestyle when in fact he is 100% fundamentals. People him complicated when the best snake plays him like a 2D fighter

@@rospoho I would like to add, not even many pros stick to fundementals when not able to true combo. Mkleo was one of the first people from what I can tell that checked people’s shield when he wasn’t sure if it was going to true combo. Snakes need to design setups or simply put themselves in better positions when thinking more about what they are using that precious time of hitlag for

このマッチアップ気になってて見れてよかった 最初の方のスネークはもうちょっと待って良いなと思った。1.2本目はスネークが攻めすぎてて3本目ちょうどよかった。最後あった試合だったね面白かった

Beating Leo is hard but beating him on a stage of his choosing is almost impossible.

It does not since it's an item and not a normal projectile. It will deal more damage with higher velocity as well.

@Joshua Suh From the SSB wiki. "Items went under another adjustment in Ultimate. Items no longer enter the stale-move negation queue, making items unable to stale their damage or refresh other moves. The exception to this rule is attacking with battering items like Beam Sword or Home-Run Bat, which do still count as "attacks" that are added to the stale queue as their own unique action. However, throwing a battering item does not affect the queue like any other item."

Anyone else noticed how biased the commentators were towards Leo? AK did amazing stuff but there was no recognition

the female commentator is absolutely insufferable and horrible at her job. just straight up wrong so many times throughout the set
