I absolutely cannot believe the abundance of this space! Not only is it beautiful, but filled with all that yummy food. I am sorry to hear about your sweet little chickens. I know they are lucky to have a nice new home if they are roosters, but I am sure you are attached. I love your videos and projects. You inspire me in my own garden so much. ❤️🌸

Thank you so much! It's always nice when someone "gets you". I am really attached to them and I'm not ashamed to say that I cried a bit when I realized but my brother came over and made me feel better about it. He's such a great guy and loves birds as much as I do so they will be lucky little ones even if they do begin to crow lol. We are so glad we can be an inspiration and that we have such a supportive youtube family!

Is it the brown one sitting on the ground? My husband bought that for me a couple of years ago and I think he bought it from one of our local garden centers Bob's in Egg Harbor Twp, NJ.

When companion planting flowers and vegetables, do you use different fertilizers?? Can my tomato fertilizer be used on some flowers?

No you don’t need separate fertilizers. I use very little fertilizer anymore on anything and prefer to build soil with organic matter now. I use tomato feed and a light fish emulsion once a month on everything in the veggie garden including flowers. Fertilizers are just band aids for bad soil, including organic ones. If you have good soil you need very little inputs I’ve found.

Yes, vegetables can grow with a lot less direct sun then they say if you have good soil. It depends on which part. The raised beds get about 5 hours and the copper beds about 4 to 4 1/2. The pots at the front with the beans only about 3 hours. Last year I produced way more than I could eat so this year it should be almost double lol with the raised beds. Thank you!
