Had Covid last October and totally lost my sense of taste and smell for 5 weeks. It came back slightly after that but most things smell and taste so strange still. Was hoping it would improve by now but no change. I am hoping smell training might help as I’m missing chocolate 😩

I lost my taste and smell in March 2020. I developed parosmia at some point after that. I still have parosmia to this day. Most foods barely have any flavour and there are no smells that are particularly pleasant. Good and bad smells are indistinguishable. Do I have any hope of regaining normality or is this likely to be it from now on?

Thanks for the video, very interesting. I had covid during july 2021, and recovered my smell perfectly. But end of october i started suffering distortions in the smells and tastes I sense, some being quite disgusting. Is it normal to recover smells and tastes, and then they get distorted?

I’m three months post covid. Thinking my anosmia was better, for that past two weeks, Even the air outside smells awful. Supermarkets, many Foods and drinks and all toiletries have this same distinctive bad smell and taste. Covid masks actually help slightly in public places. Will try essential oils I guess. Its become very frustrating
