Many thanks from the US for this excellent information! My son had anosmia then a couple months later mine developed. Both post COVID, but in very different timeframes relative to the infection. Quite encouraging to hear this video, thank you for putting this online.

It’s been since first of March for me. Getting a bit motivated to take more action to recovering my wonderful sense of smell back again. Found some Rife frequencies that are making a difference. Will trial smell therapy next. And a strange chiropractic trick as well. Acupuncture anything! Got a neti pot and iodine rinse. Ready to smell again that’s for certain.

I’ve pretty much lost my taste and smell almost a year ago 11-2021 due to Covid. However there’s other factors involved as well where I painted a room and it smelled of strong acetone. Got headache soon after. This was coincidentally the same time as when I was diagnosed with Covid. I’m not sure if it was an association. At this time, I can somewhat taste-sweet, sour, bitter, but salty-not so much. Though flavor is very very faint. Smell is also light. I can initially smell strong things such as detergent, onions, garlic but it fades. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I think my next step is to try smell training and nose flushing before visiting an ENT Dr. This is just tough!

Start taking ZiNC. I could smell or taste for over a month, started zinc helped over night. I tried essential oil smelling and it only helped a little, zinc took Me over the bridge, getting better everyday now. Hope this helps. Also helped with the nasal congestion over night. Hope this helps.

Honestly it comes and goes. Way better then zero when I first lost it. Zinc helped to take me to a next level pretty quickly. And I continue to use it still. But for some reason right b4 during and right after my period my taste and smell are not that good. I hope this helps.

@@EZIEGLER702 Thats so odd that your smell gets weaker during that time, i wonder what the science behind that is because I wouldn’t think they’d be connected in any way. My smell also comes and goes, very frustrating. When your smell is there and not weaker, do you think its close to pre covid levels?

Yes, with the exception to certain things that taste weird like bananas, garlic is really strong in a different way. My smell is still off with certain things like tropical, soap and a few other things. But I can handle that for sure. Coconut scent and flavored things are amazing though. It's a true struggle. I read on it every few days to see if there's anything new out.

4 yrs on from the pandemic and its very clear to the parosmia/dysgeuisia world that ENT know NOTHING about this condition. Common theme in the 40k+ facebook support group is don’t bother seeing an ENT.
