Thanks for the review of both of these new bags! I love the satchel style but the backpack is adorable too. As someone that is 5'11" I appreciate all the extra strap length but I might be the minority!

I got the butterfly bucket bag and the backpack both in Dune. Love them both so much, love the squish in this leather!!

OMG…so I just happened to stumble across your video, I was a hard core Madewell gal…uhm, well, I went to their site (Portland Leather Goods) and ended up spending close to $300…I fell in love with the look of the pieces and their prices, thank you for suggesting or reviewing these pieces. I love this! That was totally me too! Don’t get me wrong, I still love Madewell but PLG is like a premium version of Madewell to me! So glad you fell in love with it as well! 🥰

Beautiful bags...love the simplicity. The straps would be too long for me at 5'3. I would have to take to a local repair shop to modify. TFS

I would have to agree. The straps are super long on this one for some reason. 😢

For the bucket strap, it could be tied in a knot. I would have to add a hole because I'm 5'3". But I want one of them. And I have a detachable braided short strap from a Sak purse that would go great with it.🤗 tfs

Beautiful drawstring bag! I absolutely love the leather on yours, it looks so soft and pebbly. What color did you get? I agree with it being a bit on the long side. It does look good on you as a crossbody. I’m only 5’3” so it would be too long on me. On your backpack you could probably take it to a shoe repair shop and have that excess strap removed. It’s a beautiful little bag, too! P.S. your dress is super cute.😊

Thank you for the review! Quick question- I use Leather Honey on all my leather bags. Have you tried Leather Honey and if so do you like it as much as Chamberlain’s Leather Milk? I am trying to determine if I should try Chamberlain’s. Lol

Hi! Thank you for watching and commenting! I have used leather honey in the past but I have never tried Chamberlain’s. To be honest, I found leather honey to be too sticky. My favorite conditioner is by Patricia Nash. The smell is just unbelievable! 🥰

Hi! I never had a problem with anything ever falling out. Maybe they weren’t drawing it closed. I ended up selling this backpack because the very long straps became an annoyance to me. 😕

The "cincher" loop is pretty loose on my drawstrings, on my bucket backpack 😔 any ideas of who might be able to fix that?

Hi Kirsten! I ended up selling this backpack and getting their essential backpack when it came out. I would reach out to them about the loop being too loose. I’m assuming it probably stretched. They might be able to guide you on how to fix it. My first thought would be to take it to a local cobbler or shoe repair shop and see if they can add an extra stitch line to make it more snug. 🥰

Which color do you like better? Dune or Sedona?

Hi Isaac! You’re so kind to consider buying your wife a PLG bag. The large is a pretty average size for a purse, but I don’t know that it would be quite big enough for a diaper bag. PLG has large and oversized totes that would be great for carrying all the baby items she needs.
