cost leadership is not about the lowest price, but about manufacturing at the lowest possible cost, thus having bigger margins, while selling at average market price.

+Pablodabozz Good point. A cost advantage enables a firm to charge a lower price-- under-cutting its competition and stealing customers. By charging a lower price you can increase turnover which another component of profitability per the DuPont analysis.

In generic strategies model, there isnt customer Intimacy from 4 model i look at. Can you explain about the third point on focus customer Intimacy please. From the model there is cost focus, differentiation , cost leadership and differentiation focus
