"The Battle of Yorktown was an important event in the American Revolution. The initial strategy was to have the American forces travel to Yorktown by foot while the French piloted the Borealis and sacked the British supply route and then continue on to the Michigan salt mines. Finally, the British troops at Yorktown surrendered to Cave Johnson at the Aperture Science facility after failing to secure a critical core transfer between GLaDOS and one of their strategic cores portal gun space space space Chell blue, orange, Wheatley, Valve."

do you ever feel like Wheatley? by that i mean do you ever feel you you were made to make terrible decisions including waiting until 11:39 pm to start making a whole page of science test notes you are allowed to use on the unit test you have at school? then procrastinating and writing stupid comments instead of going over to finish the notes and go to bed so you can get up at 6:30 am?

the ATMOSPHERE in all of these songs gives me goosebumps.
Just when you think the Portal 2 soundtrack/ambience is much more upbeat & lighthearted compared to Portal 1, you're hit with PotatOS Lament (2:07:39) as a reminder of how dark and existential-crisis-inducing it can be.

I think we just want a third one just to confirm they can in fact count to 3. Oh and so we can have more music to jam out to
I love how in the courtesy call the music slowly becomes darker and more dramatic, and then when wheatley says everyone is dead the music becomes all like: oh. i ' m a l o n e
I love Wheatley Science And The Part Where He Kills You It's very epic.
I love the song "I saw a deer today", its so fast paced and catchy but chaotic and weird sounding! Really chaotic to match running from Glados's traps!
"Triple Laser Phase" is the weirdest song i've ever heard, it gives me an unique feeling of empty, insecurity and terror at the same time

The Ghost of Rattman is my scariest song in this soundtrack. The first time I heard it, I couldn't sleep for three days because of his voice... (in a deep russian voice) it scarez meh.
I don't know why people say Portal 2 lost the original's soul. The creepiness in the first game is more emphasized, and some of the tracks really are masterpieces, but this OST turns Aperture into an almost cinematic tragedy. There's a tonal shift but it's just as well, if not better executed in my opinion.
@ahmed4363
2 жыл бұрын
I think people hate portal 2 because it's not as creepy But the creepiness in the original was the realization that we are the only human remaining in the facility, with our only company being the robot voice that's trying to kill us. It's the unfamiliarity that gives portal it's creepiness. But in portal 2, we are already familiar with GLaDOS. We know what it's like in aperture. So we get to see the workings behind the facility, and so portal 2 has this industrial feeling behind it. Most notably heard in it's music. We also aren't alone, as Wheatley and GLaDOS become our companions at different points in the game. We aren't alone anymore.
I really enjoyed playing this game also because of this amazing soundtrack.
It takes me one hour to go thru every section which makes one play thru like 4-5hrs and I know every chamber like the back of my hand so it really is easy now. Also, I just completed my 20th playthrough! Though I'll probably play through a few hundred times before I die. This game is a masterpiece and one of my favorites. The soundtrack is something I think I never heard before and never will again, it's so beautiful and gives off an ominous vibe. gg Valve, honestly I want Portal 3, but this game's replayability is something else.

I love how in Don’t do it and Your Precious Moon have so many parallels, where Don’t Do It has a slower start and a harder bass in the background, as if to elude to Chell’s uncertainty and eventual regret of putting Wheatley in charge, Your Precious Moon has much more of a definitive feeling, as if Chell finally knows that what she is doing will have some good consequence.

good to listen to while studying, makes me feel smart
there is a part in the game where GLaDOS is chasing and trying to kill you while wheatly helps you escape later, wheatly chases and tries to kill you while GLaDOS helps you escape valve perfectly symbolized how wheatly was corrupted to become the old evil version of GLaDOS i love it
“Listens to Ratmans voice in background” “Never sleeps after 5 days”
This has helped me pass so many tests since middle school
One of the greatest games of this current generation, which is about to end soon. I know this generation may have been more commercial and shitty, but remember and cherish the moments of the first time we played games like these.
