Hazbin Hotel & Helluva Boss, Lackadaisy, TheAmazingDigitalCircus, Underverse, Ramshackle, TheEarthGuy, Godspeed, Atlas and the Stars, and now THIS! I'm telling you guys right now, this is the future of the shows, artists deserve to have their creative freedom, and indie projects are a key to that. I'm already invested in the plot, keep it up!

@@soggypotatochipthere was a reason why that show was canceled. You know it. Admit it. Even Disney knew it. The show was “too gay” even for Disney and “their not so secret gay agenda”. That says something, coming from them. I’m going to say that if they actually did something besides being all gay and went with you know…MARKETING MERCHANDISE, the show might have stayed longer and you could have gotten what you wanted (and stayed quiet for a bit longer)

I love how in game-like/fictional worlds 5:24 characters react like this "Oh! Unexpected guests!" While in reality, it'd be more like "Who the hell are you?! Get out of my house! I'm armed/Calling the police" :') Beautiful show. And necessary, to quickly introduce Port & Umi to the inventor

I finally got a chance to watch the pilot of Port By The Sea, and I must say it was very well written and animated. It’s very inspiring to me, and out of all the voice roles, I loved Elizabeth Maxwell as Umi the most because of her serious personality. I can see this shaping up to be something bigger in the future! Fantastic work, Georden Whitman!

With this, lackadaisy, god speed, glitch production's and their animated series's, and all the other animations on KZread, we are entering a golden age of KZread shows and animations

This design has great potencial, I just imagine how it would engage has a lot to unravel and best of all, it focuses on THE *OCEAN* I have high hopes for this work, even if it takes a while to have a season.

I literally started crying when Dream Sweet in Sea Major started playing. The animation is so beautiful! It brings me back to when I was a kid watching Gravity Falls. I like the little bits of mystery, the youthful adventures, the overarching story... I would've loved this as a kid! And I for sure love it now!!

This pilot is one of the most beautiful pilots I ever seen on KZread! And it’s amazing how you have cure all the scenes, the characters and their world building. The story that however simple it is perfect because it’s surrounded by this intriguing and mysterious fable! AND THE SONGS AT THE END😭😭😭it reminds me at Steven Universe and adventure time’ songs. You have done a wonderful job . I LOVE IT❤ Thank you for this pearl of indie animation.

I'd like to say my good taste brought me here, but really... I don't know how I got here. But I'm glad I got see such a cute little pilot! This is definitely not the kind of thing that will blow up and get talked about by the community. And that makes me even happier to have found it. To give attention to those that deserve it. This is very simple, but cute and witty! I can feel the effort and skill that went into it. This deserves a chance to become what I know it can! Thanks Port By The Sea and team, for charming me! 5:54 this man's character design is peak character design and it translates well into your art style

Even though the dialogue felt off, along with some parts of the plot, I can see this being a really good show. The ideas are there, the character designs look pretty good, voice acting’s decent enough too. Overall I’m excited to see where this goes!

That inclusion is how you know this is woke trash. I can see the check boxes being ticked as the pilot aired. And it wouldn't be so bad if it weren't so insultingly bland. I've seen this all done before and better. There was nothing to hook me in. Dialogue is bland. Lore dump exposition is awful. Setting is generic horror on da sea totally not cuthulu mythos at home. And the protagonists are literally not interesting, completely smooth no edge no nothing. I swear to god I've already seen this episode done in another cartoon already. Give me something, anything to remember this as unique. People's taste in art has fallen into the fucking gutter. Why is it every show now needs to be this bland appeals to everyone made for nobody sludge? Being corporate goo of a show is not an aspirational goal. It is a failure of creativity, which is exactly what this pilot succeeded in becoming.

This looks absolutely BRILLIANT! Amazing high quality all around from the art style to the animation to the music, sound effects, voice acting, writing, etc. etc. The world needs MORE of this, STAT!

Geordan I only found out about this show after hearing the tragic story of nomad of nowhere I’m glad to see that didn’t kill the passion and I hope nothing ever does the originality in your stories is rare nowadays your art will inspire the future of animation and story telling never give up

I love how "show don't tell" this is with how it implies that the kids broke the moon and foreshadows that "ankle" is the titan. Umi (海) is Japanese for "sea" so the name of the show is referring to the 2 characters. 18:13 Japanese text are the English words "miracle musical" transliterated. I also really appreciate the "hard of hearing" type subtitles. My hearing isn't that bad (but it also isn't the best).

It would explain why the kids are collecting the shards and somehow have a moon shard compass. 12:08 Ankle "knows everything about Bonnie" (which turns out to be moon shard related) and he's briefly shown to have suspicious tassels and a magical/evil sounding voice. We never actually see ankle (except his hair) but his form (especially the tassels) is similar to the 4th titan (Tiamat) shown at 0:21 His entire graveyard scene and 16:26 gives off the impression that he's much more powerful than he's letting on

The climax and ending were wholesome and a great subversion of the roles Port and Umi had up until that point. The whole crew should be proud of such a magnificent pilot!

This is incredible work. The dynamic and world building is so fun!! I love the design of the old shopkeep she's so cute!! Cozy, charming and I need more!

this seems rly unique and innovative. love the art style, and the sound effects and having a lot of the music integrated into the actual world with like the record players and piano and stuff really makes it more atmospheric and immerses you into the world

I got steven universe vibs with the lighthouse and beach however those vibs diminished at later scenes

I don’t know how I got a notification for this 3 MONTHS AFTER IT CAME OUT!!! But I love this! The details are incredible and very intricate to me! Especially in the beginning, really grabbed me by the throat and showed the love in this!

this is one of the best animated pilots ive ever seen. i love that on the surface its just like an animated kids show but it also has so much mystery to it and so much potential to have an incredible story

First episode and I already have a theory, if you look at 0:47 you can see that the shape of two of thw titan's horns eerily coincide with the shape of protagonists' hair. So I propose the theory that the protagonists are some kind of reincarnation/avatar/something of the titans.

They also mention in front of the graveyard that they caused this. Plus they react strongly to anything related to the shatter. PLUS they have a compass that can track the shatters of moon.

I love the way the plot is introduced as if somebody was typing and documenting it, but also love the ending with that calm serene tone(and with a Miracle Music song). It looks like it uses a classic style at first but it has its own distinct stuff, it's just the beginning and the feeling that this is not a classic adventure of the day type of cartoon is already there

WHEN THE SONG AT THE END STARTED PLAYING OH MY GODDDDD

When midnight crew suddenly started playing 3:20 I immediately just relived over a decade of Homestuck.

That intro with the type writer exposition just made me think of Porco Rosso so that's already a win! The animation is stunning particularly the waves I could stare at them for hours on loop. Great characters both main and background in term of looks and personality. The design of the settings of each location looks well loved. Ankle is an amazing tease of a character. DISM; that song fills me with so much dread, but here dream sweet in sea major actually feels nice, welcoming even And that ending song is FANTASTIC! It's so melodic and sweet. The end credit slides too are a welcome sight. Hope we see more of this beautifully curated world! I'm hooked!

have you listened to the entirety of Hawaii part ii? It's not dream sweet playing in the end, it's the first song, Introduction to the Snow. It's much slower and more contemplative as opposed to Dream Sweet's quick and foreboding introduction, which is probably why it feels welcoming. It's the opening song after all.

Very excellent! i love the mystery and how it isn't explicitly stated that Umi'a compass wasn't tracking the monster, but the moon pieces. It's organically shown to us. Also, making the bird lady look old with the lines on her beakwase a very nice touch. High quality all around!

Ok I'm hooked:) (I really, *REALLY* hope this becomes a full show. I'm just so freaking interested in this world you've created)

A lot of animations that stick with me tend to be because of the meaning behind them, or because of specific moments or themes. This one is different though. The worldbuilding, the memorable characters, even the pacing is pretty spot on. This feels like something i would've seen on TV, or like an airing show that's built a cult following. This doesn't feel like something from youtube (no shade to youtube animation there's some pretty amazing stuff). Finding this as an indie pilot is surprising, and i sincerely hope that it sees a future production. This absolutely has an audience. And the touch of sign language at the end is fantastic.

My goodness, this pilot was beautiful! The main characters are so cute and Im dying to see more of them already. The animation is simple but clean and full of emotion, and the music is divine!! Here’s to hoping this becomes a full show
