Royd the roads around here not great,car is comfortable enough in normal mode, PASM is standard on all the Turbo cars mine is on the -10mm factory suspension.

@@AlistairEvans that’s what I meant, I haven’t ticked the PASM Sports Suspension -10mm but have ticked the lightweight sound insulating glass to keep the tyre noise out 🙏

@@royd72 My order is just about to lock - did not select PASM Sport either - car is just as good without it performance wise - and slightly more forgiving on bad roads which there are plenty of around me. Also don't want to be worried every single time I pull out or into a street or driveway - ever. There are some really awesome reviews out there of non-SPASM cars.

I can't remember seeing another _super car_ on the road that wasn't a Porsche. So it's good to know and see that Porsche drivers do drive there cars and don't stick them in a garage unless the weather is 100% perfect and it's a weekend. The 911 has always been the most usable of _super cars._ This 992 incarnation simply mind blowing. The amount of car videos I've seen on KZread when they pit this new 992 against other, highly tuned cars and the 992 wins 99% of the time. Then when you see a car that has beaten the Porsche, the Porsche will be ready for a 2nd, 3rd or 4th round while the highly tuned car can't as it _needs attention as something amiss has happened to it's power unit... AGAIN!_ There's a KZread video where some Yanks did 50 launch control starts, back to back. It was the older 911 Turbo S, but that Porsche didn't bat an eye lid to it all. Great video again Mr. B. The whole package. Not just the car, but the videography and soundtrack too. And nice to see your GT3 out for a drive too 8-))... Your No1 Stalker ;-))...

Did you like the 991.2 TTS? More docile? Any advantages to 992 as far as ride, etc..

Great video and an incredible car. Question: does Alistair’s have the 10mm lowered suspension? I’m thinking maybe that caused the slightly jittery ride?

Yes it’s on the -10mm but the roads are pretty awful where Roger did video it’s more comfortable than 992 C4S I had before in comfort mode it’s really nice sits lower in the arches,and I think Roger had it in sport mode it does make a difference to the ride quality but sounds better with valves open😀

Thanks Richard, good point, yes it had the lowered pasm spec, I drove the car mostly in sport mode and those roads surfaces were a bit poor!

Great practical review! - on the ride quality - this car appears to have the Sport PASM (-10mm) option. Most seem to think the ride is OK at speed, but can seem busy and a tad too firm on some roads - even in "normal" mode. I have one on order, but have not decided on what suspension - normal PASM or Sport PASM - any additional thoughts would be very welcome. Thanks.

Really enjoyed your video, I thought I had watched all the 992 911 Turbo S reviews while I was waiting for my delivery. Some comments from a new owner - I received my 2022 version a couple of weeks ago and in fact just watched your review after having taken it out for a spin. A couple of items different here in Canada, in addition to the opposite side of the road, it’s not a good idea to floor it when the roads are cold and wet, and second, its best to have break in period for about 3000km with

992 has a more involving feel, its a better car generally IMO, 991.2 feels bit more compact, both are very fast.

Did this car have the optional PASM Sport suspension ?

Hi Roko I'd take the Turbo S for road use and GT3 for track.

Didn't learn anything new from that review, sorry. Good to have the busy ride and tyre noise confirmed. Would be interesting to know the suspension spec. Its not really an "every-day" if level of comfort or noise is poor, even slightly. Mega performance is no trade off as little of it can be used legally. I comment as a current and 3 time 911 owner inc a turbo.

Sucks to live in a 3rd world country were owning a car like this is impossible 😅 Hopefully I can move to a country like the UK in the near future and own one of these beauties

I still prefer your shark blue gt3 Rodger. This is a fantastic piece of machinery. However non turbo is more ingaging imho.

Great review, Roger. I think the front, straight on view is the weakest part in terms of styling. It is traditional, instantly recognized but for me the 991 front end looked better. I would like to hear about the (hopefully engineering) reasons for changing it. I hope it isn’t some cynical reason like making the 992.2 more desirable when corrects the weakness.

You mention the road noise being high- a pity- as my only complaint with my 991.2 GTS is tyre roar. I had hoped the Turbo S would be a bit more insulated/refined. It's a great shame, as it makes the majority of actual time spent in the car less enjoyable than my Q7. Of course- when you get to the proper roads- the 911 is breathtaking competent, and an absolute joy to drive.

Yes similar road noises to a 991.2 GTS but it rides better and generally a bit more sound insulating, wouldn’t be a deal breaker for me but it’s no Q7!

@@RogerBaileyOnCars thanks for the reply- yes and I’m still waiting for the car that is all things: luxurious and quiet (and why not spacious too?) on the motorway, yet agile and involving in the twisties. Maybe with self driving cars we could instruct our fun car to drive itself to the fun roads, while the barge wafts one along the motorway to get there!
