    Very good!!! I could have cleaned the gearbox too and put in new parts, but that's ok.

    OK, so it IS a drag that you had to back up to retorque those bolts to the correct values. But that's MUCH better than finding out some other way? ;-) .... And I LIKE your torque wrench!

    I would have replaced the trans input shaft seal before putting it all back together!

    +mike dx there are a LOT of things I could have done while this engine was out but I’d lose too much money on it if I did them all 😆

    @@HelpMeDIY Understood, but not replacing a relatively cheap trans input seal is cutting to many corners if you place value on your time and labor. If that transmission starts to leak once it is back in the Boxster, I would be kicking myself if it were my car. Adding fluid to those transmissions is a pain in the rear end, no pun intended. You already spent a lot of money buying a newly rebuilt engine. A new trans input shaft seal is cheap insurance that you that won't have to pull it all apart after a few hundred miles to replace a leaking transmission seal.
