Porsche Panamera...100k Miles Later

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Review and look at a Porsche Panamera but 100k Miles Later. This is a 2011 Porsche Panamera base model with close to 100k miles on it. In this 2011 Porsche Panamera review, we will see how well it has aged after nearly a decade and nearly 100k miles on it. I have driven other Porsche products like the 2001 Porsche 911, 2016 Porsche Cayenne, and a 2013 Porsche Boxster. As a whole, the Porsche family does drive extremely well but we will take a more in depth look in this review of the Panamera.

I have a 2012 Panamera 4. I purchased it and within a few days a engine light came on. I had to take it back to get a valve job it was about $2k. I purchased the extended warranty 4k, and the repair was free. I have not had a issue with it for three years. I recently purchased a 2013 Cayenne base. It drives really well. If you buy used get the warranty it is worth it!

Exhaust Sports Auto. I also will tell people to get a fixit ID or a portable engine reader if I would have had this, I may not have made the purchase. Also try to get them used from the Porsche or Another Foreign car dealership they seem to be more then willing to make sure they deliver a car that works and will give warranties.

So Karl. I get your point but you spent 4 grand on a warranty and your only repair would have cost you 2 grand. You technically would have saved 2 grand by not buying a warranty.

It has luxurious interior and is super comfortable to drive. I’ve driven 135 MPH and it felt like I was going 70. I haven’t done the launch control yet, but my husband has and said it was fun. I have the 2013 Turbo model Panamera and found it is an exceptionally smooth long haul vehicle not to mention blazing speed with the launch control. It turns in 0-60 in less than 4.0 seconds. Actually in 3.8 range. I do have the IPD plenum installed and it did make a difference. Wife thinks it’s much much smoother than her GLC 300 Mercedes! I used launch control without traction control on and left rubber marks from all 4 wheels for more than 100 yards. Sport plus mode is a monster. Also was rolling at 55mph, selected sport plus, floored it to pass a slow pickup truck and left rubber on the highway for quite a ways around that truck. Impressive Porsche sedan!! Agate gray with oyster interior, Michelin Pilot Sport tires,( silenced the ride over the Pinelli’s)

The 500 hp turbo V8 in this 4 door vehicle is incredible. The interior quality is fantastic. Its reputation is well earned. Just make sure now that they are “affordable” you have cash, and lots of it, when something breaks, like the air suspension. It is very reliable, but owning it still takes big boss baller money.

As a PROUD owner of the 2011 Panamera base, I can say that I really love this car. My particular trim is an all black interior and dark gray exterior which I do like more than the beige interior in this video. The steering is phenomenal, although it does take a bit of getting used to how long this car is and how close to the front of the car you are (I used to drive a 2017 SS camaro, a BMW X3, a Honda Civic, and a Chevy Avalanche as comparison). This car is VERY reliable if you take care of it, in fact if you do plan on buying this car please do expect to dedicate a lot of time and some money making sure this thing is mechanically sound. I never really understood the hype about Porsches until I got in the drivers seat, and I will say after you drive a Porsche you do understand why so many Porsche owners love the Porsche brand so much. It is really a car you cannot truly appreciate until you pilot one. Keep in mind, like most other cars, the more standard your Panamera is the easier it is to maintain. I am very glad I have the v6 RWD version of this car, rather than the v8 or turbocharged v8 because I have read that the v8 versions are prone to having cylinder and other engine problems, although if you are looking at a turbocharged v8 Porsche finances shouldn’t really be too much of an issue. Overall, I really like the Panamera and honestly I can’t really see how one wouldn’t. You should not buy this car because you want to race it. In no means is this a slow car, but if you want a quicker sedan look at A7s, Tesla Model 3s, Chargers, etc. This is just an extremely fun daily driver that is quite reliable, practical, and beautiful.

My cayenne has the 4.8V8 and about 90k miles and I haven’t had really any issues in the past 4 months of ownership. I put the car through it’s paces regularly and have done some maintenance but am very happy with the perceived quality and reliability. Hmm that's a great question so Panamera has slightly sharper handling and A7 has a better ride quality kind of depends on what you want but you will probably also get a newer A7 for the price of the Panamera so value wise the A7 is probably better and they have good CPO programs granted so does Porsche. You're not loosing with either one both are great I might lean Panamera if budget allows but I do love the A7 for the price

There’s not a lot of great after market warranty options. The best warranties are of course the OEM ones from the manufacturer like when you buy a new car or a CPO car. But aftermarket there’s not many good ones. Heard terrible things about Endurance on Reddit. I had a good warranty from Hendrick AutoGuard it was their top of the line platinum warranty. It covered all major repairs on my used 2010 Acura TSX however this was like 8 years ago, they could be trash now or simply won’t cover nationwide as Hendrick is primarily a south east dealer network. CarMax is the next best choice but they don’t allow you to haggle and their warranty doesn’t seem to cover everything either. A Patreon member of mine has a Lexus LS 460 from CarMax and he bought their warranty. When the amp on his ML audio system went out they wouldn’t cover it and there was something else they wouldn’t cover either. A lot to consider but yea buying a used car especially now is tough not to mention financing on used cars which is a nightmare currently.

This is probably one of the most bare optioned Panemaras I’ve seen. The vast majority of them have at least heated seats front and rear, heated wheel, etc. Always look for the most optioned model around (with a good history) as you can essentially get all the extra features at little to no extra to you over base model.

I have no intention of selling it however it’s disappointing to see values in the $20-$30,000 range. Original price $150,000. To replace it today over $200,000.
