Your remark about the Porsche logo disturbing the flow might be the most German thing I've heard in quite a while. I love it.

Chances that Manthey would use a sticker for weight reduction.

porsche 911 is great example for your teaching purposes, the car has stayed so similar yet keeps evolving.

The rear being split horitonally reminds me very much of the back of the 911 GT1

I was thinking the exact same thing! I understand it's meant for aerodynamic purposes, but it looks insanely cool as a bonus!

At 3:22 I remember old Group C cars like the Sauber C9 using big NACA ducts for pretty much everything from radiator cooling to turbo inlets. They never used wide intakes like these. Any reason why they used NACA ducts for inlets back then and why Porsche hasn't considered that for the brake and intercooler intakes on the sides? The boundary layer would have been cleaner had they opted for a big NACA duct, imo.

Looks *eerily* similar to the bodies of the 996 GT300 & 986 GT300 cars. Not quite as radical as the 911 GT1 but still very unique.

Arent they using stickers as the porsche logo anyway? At least thats how it is on the street gt2rs and gt3rs models. Edit: yeah you also said if its sticker it wont do anything negative which im pretty sure its a sticker since even the road versions have it as a sticker

I think the "S duct" hot radiator flow is kept away from the intercooler by the wheel arch top vent, mirror and also the shape of the door - they'd put a turning vane on the door in that case. This car needs a longtail version to house a "proper diffuser and maybe a smaller wing.

Are there any benefits from having deep dish rims on the rear?

Aerodynamically not really. But the deep dish rims allow you to increase track width while keeping the same rear axle components.
