I ran my rear camera wire through the headliner instead if going down to the floor. The red wire goes to the backup lights. Go to Google and type in your vehicle's wire diagram for the backup lights to see color code for which is 12 volt.

If you install the cabin camera rotated 90 degrees towards the driver's side could you then get good view of those immediately outside the door?
