I was into pop and electro/dance music long before I ever got into metal, so I like seeing people blend the genres into new and fun things. This has an industrial feel to me though, almost sounds like a Rammstein style guitar riff.

Most metalheads really hate this but I respect it. It's actually pretty interesting to see all of these genres blended so well

I'm a metalhead and this is excellent. Actually being a "metalhead" is just a phase. Most of us end up exploring every subgenre of metal until we start to appreciate a lot more experimental and the weird stuff. To me this is weird as fuck and it sounds good, and because of that I like it.

today poppy made her statement about titanic’s constant abuse and harassment to her. i think herself speaking to her beaten up clone and telling her she can be whoever she wants to be and that she can be free is basically explaining she is finally breaking out her chains from titanic. the horse in the video also confirms it since horses symbolize freedom. she is finally stepping out of her robotic poppy persona and freeing herself from that character. i’m so proud of her

@@itslizzie1935 Titanic Sinclair is the former partner and producer/agent for both Mars Argo and Poppy. Basically he emotionally abused the fuck out of Brittany Sheets (Mars Argo) while they dated (because that was a thing for a while) and eventually they broke up and had a huge fight over who got rights to the Mars Argo brand and music. Titanic Sinclair moved on to make Poppy, and essentially repeated what he did with Mars to her. I'm not sure if they dated or anything but he definitely emotionally manipulated and abused the fuck out of her too. While Titanic and Mars were having the legal battle over the Mars Argo brand, Poppy sided with him. It was probably because she was scared and wanted to be famous and thought Titanic was her only chance at holding onto her fame. In her recent statement, she admitted that she thought Mars was lying at the time but has since realized that Titanic is a despicable human being. Which is the reason why Poppy and Titanic have split as well and she's taken control of her own brand.

Poppy's new style is very much like Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. The movie is pg horror, but it's a very good way to get younger people into the horror genre. Poppy is almost like pg metal. the thing i love the most in Metal music, it's the fact that y can mix it with any genre and make a new thing.

My theory on the MV: The mark on her arm is almost like technology, symbolising her Robot persona. She's being led, but in the end she's human again (therefore the arm mark is gone). I think this symbolises the fact that she's finally dropping the character and becoming her human self ❤️

Nice but I think it represents her psychologically programmed self and when it is gone she has been "freed" form the societal conditioning we are all programed by from birth. Actually prior to birth since you can hear tv and such through the womb. Since the subconscious stores these sounds, when we learn as we grow, the subconscious has already had some programing it had recorded that it now understands.

This is actually really cool music! This new Poppy shows her true talent even though I love some old songs. Amazing evolution!

This is so damn refreshing. I just discovered Poppy yesterday (sorry late to the party), but damn am I happy to have found her. I played I Disagree over and over yesterday. As someone who grew up in the late 90’s/early 00’s this is a perfect blend of stuff that was around at that time. When you take Gaga/Spears vocals, add some Rammstein/Rob Zombie riffs, with a little Daft Punk/Justice spin on it you get this song. If this is a taste of what the 20’s music soundscape is gonna be like I’m all for it. Poppy is queen!

I think I was abused especially severely around the time I made my Poppy songs, so my memory is really bad. May have been dead, often. The actress who portrays me as Poppy may have been involved, in me being murdered and severely abused. She was around back then. The actress who portrays me as Grimes, too. She was murdering me and abusing me? I got strangled often, hit in the head often, poisoned however many times, shot in the brain and brainstem many times, starved all of the time, dehydrated all of the time, held hostage for two years straight and tortured, abused, assaulted, disabled cognitively and physically. Died many times, often. I was dead often.

In a weird way, I feel like the man in the robe and the "pale horse" could certainly represent death, and in relation to the entire "trapped" situation, maybe Poppy has finally realized that life isn't long enough to live under what somebody else wants from you. In defying control, she is taking back her entire fate, and symbolically, from the hands of death himself, or perhaps how T.S. was killing her sense of spirit. Her black clothes of mourning contrast with the white of a "new" Poppy, and jumping down the well and staying in pods shows how, though she has escaped, she still needs time to hide and recover with herself. Really, I think this video shows what a big step this entire self-discovery has been in her life.

Every time I hear a new Poppy song, I think, "This is it. This is the one that's gonna suck. They can't all be great. The gimmick is gonna fall apart." And it doesn't suck. It holds up strong to most of today's metal, and it blows today's pop music outta the water. So far, I haven't heard a single bad song from the album "I Disagree." Shit is solid gold.

Who is the male vocals? Because this is a good song and that's saying something considering Poppy use to legit freak me out 😂
