Exactly Right;what He is ,is a Real Music Man. Not some flybynighter. His passion for that big guitar sound is infectious. Poppa is a great musician and entertainer .

One of the most underrated musicians of this era. Too bad he didn't get all the credit he deserved cause huge record companies have no interest in supporting blues rock and just care about copy&paste pop sh*t, still I'm happy he keeps rocking on. Hope to see him live somewhere, sooner or later.

No offence, but this guy does mainly covers. I don’t disagree he’s a great musician and underrated performer but huge record companies want originality - that means writing your own songs! Edit Cheers to the guy who pointed out he has many albums. Doh 🤦‍♂️

Popa you must have been one hell of a baseball player cause ya just keep hitting these great classics right out of the park

I saw him live in Salzburg Austria in around 1999. Was a great show! Great to see him still going strong!!

This guy is an original . Although he seems to mostly do covers he rips them apart and reassembles them so well he makes the songs his own .

I live to hear electric guitar, played by someone who's talented and can tell a story. People like Rory Gallagher, Gary Moore, SRV, Buddy Guy, Johnny Winter, Dave Alvin, Alvin Lee, Jimi, Peter Green, Joanna Cassidy, Samantha Fish, and dozens more, are an everyday part of my musical playlist. Music matters, and great music evokes great emotions, listen frequently to maintain sanity

So Poppa Chubby was gig'n at Buddy Guy's in Chicago one night, and the opening act's drummer was in a car accident...The Opening act decided to cancel, Not only did he (Poppa Chubby)play drums for the opening act: he paid the lead singer(of the opening act band) and said, " I hear it's your wedding anniversary, enjoy tonight on me!!!!" Woods 82nd AIRBORNE US ARMY I was in the VIP section and witnessed the whole thing!!!!! My RANGER buddy Grathoff and I will always remember Poppa's Awesomeness!!!!!!!!!!!

He's another great musician who has a great sound , leaves room for the music to sing and has great feel . How come he hasn't been picked up I don't know . So much better than the limp wristed drip along music we're force fed at the moment . Scuse me while I replay this bit of genius again .

Gosh, everytime that I listen to this song played by Chubby, I notice what a Talent

he's one of the best I have ever heard if not the best I love this guy and I'm 66 and have listened to all of them

I discovered him in '95 when he played Sweet Goddess of Love and Beer on a morning show while I happened to have the TV on (rare). Loved him ever since.
