I've been looking for a style exactly like this and I'm so grateful to stumble upon this video and your channel. I think me and other people would love to see reactions to other albums! I highly recommend NFR (Norman F****** Rockwell) and Ultraviolence, and I'm personally a fan of Honeymoon. Lana is so unique and her style has made a big impact on music from popular artists like Taylor Swift! It feels so good to see more people discovering her music and falling in love with it. You just gained a new sub ❤😄

Every Lana album is like it’s own genre
Born to die is considered an important album in 2010s pop culture moment. Album was so fresh and new that It was considered Alternative.
I’ve always considered ‘Off to the Races’ the Bohemian Rhapsody of Lana’s discography. A huge, wild story

That’s funny, I’ve always thought it’s Venice bitch

@@thebabywasgreen2849 oooh that’s an interesting point that I haven’t thought of before! Venice Bitch certainly has its story and is beautifully crafted and mixed, but I do think it lacks the larger than life lyricism and storytelling that Off to the Races has. I think they do serve as sister songs though, both extensive and cinematic, but capturing different points in Lana’s career and mentality

The thing with Lana is… she does have pop elements to her music especially with born to die and lust for life but over all she’s more than pop…
You mentioned you hope she has a movie with her songs in it. And she does! It's a short film (30min-ish) called Tropico. And it uses 3 songs from Paradise - Gods And Monsters, Body Electric and Bel-Air. It's very poetic but absolutely wild.

Yessss
i think honeymoon would be your favorite album by her because it’s really cinematic and has a great music base
Her voice is one of a kind! She can change her voice from baby sweet to almost male deep! Amazing artist!
Please react to more Lana! I think you’d love Ultraviolence
In this album she talks about some personal experiences but also fills the gaps with pop culture references, which is why it all sounds so cinematic. That fantasy she sells is the fantasy the american recording industry sells too. If you take away the romanticization of Nabokov's book, OTTR and Lolita are about an unbalanced relationship with an older guy. In Carmen and This Is What Make Us Girls she talks about her adolescence and alcohol addiction. Dark Paradise and Summertime Sadness are about a boyfriend who died years a go. I think you'll like Norman Fucking Rockwell, it's a more down-to-earth album and her best one. Ultraviolence is good too.
Her Honeymoon album is filled with whole James bond movie soundtrack type songs. Super cinamatic.
Fun fact since your a Kanye fan! Kanye had an orchestra play Lana's song 'Young and Beautiful" at him and Kims engagement and Lana actually performed at their wedding!
Lana is originally from New York during this album era she lived in New York but then she moved to LA and now she’s lived there ever since

Huge Lana fan; watching this along you though gave new perspective. If this was a movie, Lolita ended with her being heartless and cold to life through loss….and Lucky Ones was the intended happy ending, but actually is a prequel because that was just before he died, alongside her ‘innocence’ and detour on the road of fame as they tried to escape the horror they knew awaited them. It’s a tragedy ❤
Now you need to react to the album "Norman Fucking Rockwell!", it's very different. Lana's albums are very varied.
I totally agree with that this is a movie because the very beginning of the born to die song it sounds like the opening to like a 1950’s Hollywood film
million dollar man live is actually crazy, listen to the paradise tour 2013 version
25:12 lol She actually mentions in an interview that her favorite video game is probably mario kart.
i love how you have the lyrics up and your editing is so good, i hate when people leave the entire song in but its also so frustrating when they cut most of the song out
i believe her song 24 from the honeymoon album was supposed to be in a james bond film or something?
Also Idk if some has already mentioned or not, This was Born to die Album. The DISC 2 is basically Paradise ep which was released after Born to die. The label merged them both and started selling it as Born to die (paradise version). But for fans they are from same era but still different. The whole vibe is just different.
Million Dollar man is my favourite song from this album!

i need an ultraviolence reaction
dark paradise is actually about her ex boyfriend that passed away:) it does fit the lore of the album tho lol
I love how you noticed the progression of the album from Born to die to Lucky ones ❤
This album constantly references the book/movie “Lolita“. Especially “Lolita” “Carmen” and “Off to The Races”.
ultraviolence or norman rockwell next please :)
Video games is a masterpiece that will never be remade
can’t wait for part two ❤❤❤
love you for this!

"This is a movie !" YeaH that's Lana in a nut shell lol lol
Nice reaction. Can't way for part 2.
Lana del rey is rhe inspiration of so many artists , fun fact : taylor swift mentions in a speech of hers that she thinks lana del rey is the most influential artist in this generation and Lana's 2019 album called Norman Fucking Rockwell changed the path of music ( it named as the best album of 2019 , not only 2019 but also decade and also ALL TIME ! )

Exactly, i listen to Lana del Rey when i want to be in a James Bond movie 😂

My favorite song from BTD is Off to the races 🤗
you should listen to her album honeymoon, it's extremely cinematic and dreamy
You notice some very valid perspectives my guy 💯💯💯 nailed her whole discography in 3 songs.
Just found your channel and I’m enjoying the videos ! You’ll definitely love honeymoon. It’s an instrumental
i know im late but for ≈ 55:40 she actually made a short movie called tropico in which she put 5 songs ☠️
omg im obsessed with the instrumental at the end of lucky ones

It got taken down immediately 🫠 but I edited it to be allowed on yt and it'll come out in January 💃
if you think this sounds like james bond wait till you get to ultraviolence
Lately I have been obsessed with this album, and I love to see more people who are listening to it for the first time
Great video
shaking like parkinsons😭 love your channel
I'm pretty sure her song 24 from Honeymoon was supposed to be in James Bond soundtrack p.s: I wish I had the chance to hear this album for the first time once more, I'm jealous af
happy new year, please react to ultraviolence. the genre is psychedelic rock and it’s her most experimental project i am sure you ll love it!
happy new year!!!!!!!!!!
for me "this is what makes us girls" reminds me so much of the movie spring breakers, thats all i can think about when listening to it, girls both sticking together but also doing whats worst for them because of a man :/ also i think 'carmen' is a metaphor for drugs and alcohol, like shes not actually a person and when you listen to the lyrics with that in mind it makes a lot of sense
The next one EP Paradise is one of my favourite !
My favourite album of hers, along with Honeymoon.
The amount of times I tried to wipe the little hook on your ceiling off my phone screen..
You should listen to Big eyes and I can fly are 2 songs she had in a movie, as well as young and beautiful a song that was featured in the great gatsby (Leonardo di caprino)
I consider Million dollar man is underrated song ❤
Honeymoon is sooo James bond
lana is AMAZING
Lana is an extremely influential artist Taylor Swift said this about her last year when they worked together on a song “The fact that I get to exist at the same time as her is an honor and a privilege and the fact that she would be so generous as to collaborate with us on this song is something I'm gonna be grateful for for life," she said. "Absolutely love her, and I really hope you love the song as much as I do."
48:28 😭😭😭 I did not expect a tiktoker diss in this lmao 1:03:26
If you plan to listen to them all then next do ultraviolence then honeymoon then lust for life… Norman fucking Rockwell…
If you ever get the chance it would be fun to watch you do a react video to Alt-j's album An Awesome Wave. 😄
I feel this album plays now like the plot for “Maxxxine”, the up-coming conclusion to the Mia Goth horror trilogy.
Kanye actually loves this album
you should react to ethel cains debut album Preachers Daughter its a lyrical and sonical masterpiece
Her biggest influences are Frank Sinatra, Eminem, Nirvana..just soo perfectly eclectic
Please react to when the pawn... by fiona apple she is one of kanye's biggest inspiration but she is actually a very intelligent person and one of the greatest songwriters of all time
The album is actually about a book that’s also a movie called “Lolita” so it is very cinematic
Please react to Ultraviolence next!!
you would love ultraviolence
You should definitely react to Ultraviolence and NFR, her best albums! Ultraviolence is more rock
Some lyrics in Carmen are wrong!
Hi dear, could you activate the subtitles, I don't know how it works, but for someone who is not a native English speaker, the subtitles help a lot to better understand the reaction!
1:09:15 It do in fact not be like that.

Fun fact : Lana Del Rey used be friends with Lady Gaga
Lana del rey does not fit into pop but I loved the video
React to norman fucking rockwell by her
please also react to Billie Eilish and The Adele!!!!
Hi tamarell happy new year to you,,,,see you react to born to die,Lana DEL ray,,,But try listen to Angelina Jordans born to die, twelve years old...and mutch better than this original,,,shocking good cover, the barefoot princess of jazz, but Warning in a good way...she can captivate YOU forever with her covers and originals...be prepared of a amazing journey of great music, all this on YT,and SHE is very popular now...next superstar, she will blow your mind, sixteen now
Ugh her unreleased songs are as good as it gets too but she hasn’t been able to fit in some of her albums themes or aesthetics
Dude pauses at the worst possible instances. Let a section finish before you say something about it. It's very jarring for the viewers, otherwise. Great reaction, tho.
Hmm...I'm pretty open minded when it comes to music, but this first listen through...I didn't find any songs that I enjoyed. ☹She sounds beautiful, but none of them resonated with me.
I wish you’d listened to paradise separately. I hate that there’s even a combined edition available. 🥲
Great video
8:20 wasn’t this her debut album ? -yes, but no.
