1st jamaican to break the world record fastest 100m,just sad how injury can make people forget
Age comes for all of us. Powell GOAT Please share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with some people today somewhere
We will never forget Mr Powell. He was part of a series of record breaking in track and field.
I can't be the only one that thinks running under 10 seconds 94 times is as impressive as bolt's record
Legend in sprinting history ❤
He had an injury, it happens, Powell is one of the greatest sprinters of all time and had probably the best technique 👌 👊
This race was stacked, probably the biggest names in history on the 100 meter race in the same track.

From small country people make world great team player usen bolt.... ❤❤❤
He was struggling with a groin injury that year and right before Jamaica trials had to do a surgery so the start in the finals messed him up when he pushed for more and in the semis he had to back of the pace when gatlin won it , it was just too much sad tho
Don't care what y'all say the dream is like a relay, Asafa powell set the trend and passed the baton on to these newer runners who will one day have to pass it on too🎉
my fav sprinter of all time
Cold edit
Sorry Powell atleast you are the third fastest man in Jamaica
Bro I almost cryed
He reminds me of another great under achiever Ato Boldon

His legacy to choke on the big stage is intact.. 🫡🫡
Powell is the greatest sprinter of all time, Bolt is the fastest man of all time.

Yoopp when it comes bolt everyone will talk about who gonna be no.2😅
Never stepped up when he needed to
He is one of the goat
Asafa ca dernière au jo 😢.
Still the 🐐.
if he continued, he would still made better than my best
He never had the mentality for a big race.
He was in pain... still my favorite sprinter ever. Big up yuh self Asafa we don't focus on shortcomings. He set the foundation
Legend
❤❤❤❤
They forgot about him did you see his last face. I love the brother stuff like this has to hurt. Especially what the announcer said. I can only imagine what its like to be second in a race when you only have one chance with everything right or youve trained for what feels like nothing. Media puts too much pressure on people in really every sport. These guys take PEDs now cause their is so much pressure to keep up with people whove done them before and are on them when their comptening. Taking drugs that are exprimental mixes to keep from being caught destroying themselves. I love these they may be millionaires but to say they dont have to be so resilient in response would be a lie. They gotta work bro.
He could be the champion but he wanted bolt and Blake to win and no one cares and dint respect him he is a legend to the Jamaica country

What is asafa didn't get hurt and ran 976 975. What would they have ran in a 4 by 1?? 36.0

Tyson gay were disqualified in final ,,,to find positive in drugs
This race asafa looks old. Clearly at the ends of his carrear. The dude was freaking fast!
What happened?
If he did not get hurt, they would have ran 35.99
Bolt
He gave up in that race
Powell always failed on the big stage
