I have a 2022 Sun Tracker Fishing Barge 22ft with the 150hp four stroke Mercury. It's my 3rd boat and by far my favorite boat. Build quality is fantastic and rock solid. I like the way the boaters don't have their life vest on. This gives the life vest a chance to float free in an event of an accident, instead of being affected by the weight of a body in it. It's so much easier for a life vest to stay buoyant, if some person is not in it. Thank these lovers of life vests for allowing the life vest to have a chance to float freely without restrictions.

Yes! I agree. I never knew I’d enjoy watching boats ride in and out of an inlet so much. The sounds of the seagulls, the ocean, and even the sounds the boats are very soothing to me as well.

Someone once told me you can always spot a rookie captain by the fenders. If you see fenders out anywhere but at the dock he's a newb. Definitely applies here I suspect.

I have been told in some video that pontoon boats handle Haulover fairly well, that Captain sure seem to know how to navigate those waves.

The Yamaha looked fine, it's a decent size boat, but the waves definitely made it look small. I was thinking about getting a Yamaha 255 FSH seems like a boat that can hold its own. Bad idea or not?

Probably the best boat - if you don’t know how to drive a boat - through Hallover inlet, is a Pontoon boat. They are IMPOSSIBLE to sink. Unless you cut the pontoons off.

When we launched our boats in the Arabian Gulf in Kuwait waters. We always planned our launches and returns based on the tides and weather reports. Do any of these so called (claimed) skippers "plan" their outtings or do they you know..."wing it"?

Minimal, that's why most CC and larger have fresh water hoses as do most docks/slips. That's part of boating, rinsing everything and flushing the outboards after use.

I really like that Scout because it can really take those big waves well because of the high front end, however perhaps not as good for maximum visibility because of that. The next one, as well as some others, have the lower front end, which probably makes it look cooler, but also easier for waves to come over the front. I like the servee too
