@@hugh.munguzs Some of it, not all of it. The bass tone is great on the riffs that are doubling with guitar but the extra bass grooves and pops etc are amazing. I guess you've never written bass for a track before lol

@@maykoluche1151 to be fair I have only heard chon twice including their feature on this album and their own music was definitely better. Maybe you could recommend some of their music that might change my mind. I definitely belive my mind can be changed because I love plini and polyphia and pretty much every djazz/djent/shred prog jazz fusion musical magic band and CHON keeps popping up as one of those I should like.

@caprice.t haha. It's funny seeing this comment now. I got a lot deeper into math rock since then. Chon is actually one of my favourite bands nowadays. At this point I love all the string skipping octave jumping upbeat major/lydian shred bands with an emo tinge in syncopated and odd rythms lol.

This song feels like I've finally found peace within myself

You know what's better than payday on friday? New polyphia jams on friday. My weekend is now made before it even got started 🔥🔥🔥

Theres plenty of great underground music in general. Mainstream music just relys on trends, even rappers like denzel curry can outperform most rock and especially rap lol because he, just like polyphia and other underrated artists that are actually unique and interesting

Mateus is more into soul, gospel, and jazzy in my opinion. Meanwhile polyphia is more into metal, dan dark kinda stuff.

Anyone bothered by the boomer bend comment ought to really listen to this stuff. It's not like Tim doesn't throw down some silky smooth bluesy feel when the time feels right. I just discovered Tim and Polyphia because of a GOAT KZread short that blew my mind. This band is taking the most fresh approach to guitar oriented music that I have heard in a very, long time.

No song with Mateus is a bad song.

Mateus rules, I wish he played with bands like these more often or form his own group (fusion/prog-rock/math-rock/his own style).

WOW. I MEAN WOW. When several points of light come together to become one shinning star in the heavens, the world is graced by its light. thank you, hands down my fav. so far.

The gritty and compressed clean tones on this album sound really processed but also really nice. That and the music (and awesome guitar solo in this song) keep me coming back to this album. It has this weird gothic rnb flavor that is really neat
