3:40 it DOES sound hell of a lot like Chino, because it is. it just doesn't sound like typical deftones just hear any of Chino's side projects, like Crosses (especially this one) and Team Sleep and you'll instantly see where this style of his came from

I highly suggest checking out Crosses. One of Chinos side projects with a few other members of bigger bands. They are incredible. I forget the new singles names. But worth checking out.

5:44 I think that’s because when chino was done recording, (I think I heard from someone) Scott restructured the track around the vocals entirely while Sophia black mainly sang Tim’s riff and they kept it that way.

This song is much more my vibe then alot of their other songs. Like I do like their other music but overall they have a vibe thats just a little to chill for me.

Also I hate to be one of those people who comment the same thing on multiple videos but I would love you guys to react to a South Korean band madmans esprit. They only have like 20k monthly spotify listeners and I think they deserve so much more! Some songs from their newly released album to check out are garden of skeletons, ssibal, and jahaewa haebang.

This song is just so cool to me, the contrast of the drifty vocals leading into the chuggy guitar is just so beautiful to me. Absolutely my favourite off the album, although Playing God and Reverie are also right up there.

The vocal style in this track is more reminiscent of Chinos' solo project Crosses.

I really like this song, a lot. I really like Chino, a lot. I actually LOVE the guitars in this. I'm not sure what it is that I don't like about the whole ... 'Bloodbath' package ... It's like I can't shake the feeling that it's missing something. I love it, but it bugs me at the same time. It's like a coming down from hard night of partying ... laying awake with that dirty, crawly feeling. Maybe that was the intention ???

@@theFunkyThumb Fair enough ... Deftones are notorious for their crawly, dirty aftertaste but at least they balance it with adrenaline shots. LOL. This one felt like a straight Valium, Xanax, and Halcion soup.

Chino's vocals in the chorus sounded like Bilmuri to me, probably the production behind them

Chino has matured a lot from white pony. i wouln't compare white pony chino to 2023 chino imo

It's interesting that you felt ABC was forced, and this one natural. It came off as the reverse for me. ABC clearly felt like them wanting to have fun making a pop song. I like Deftones and I love Polyphia, but the first half of this one just doesn't work for me. It's still good though. The second half with Scott's solo is rad as FUCK too. Chino is fine. Tim is fine (Though his part is the most awkward for me). Clay is killing it on bass. Clay is absolutely WRECKING it on drums. But it's probably my least favorite on the new album. Speaking of album. Holy shit. 12 songs. Each a different genre. Bossa Nova. Pop. NuMetal. Hip-hop. Electronica. Rap. Rock. Lo-Fi beats... It's SO crazy diverse. But it's also all VERY Polyphia.

They apparently had dimebag I'm mind during this song and you really feel it in the solo, pure Dimebag!
