I'm already a big fan of Polyphia, and while I understand that a lot of people aren't into this track because it has vocals and that distracts from the instrumental work, I can't deny that I've had this song on constant repeat, it's so much fun, so catchy, and the instruments still have moments to shine, I definitely wouldn't want every Polyphia song to be like this in the future but I love that they did this song the way they did

Honestly first time I heard it i was like “it’s okay, meh” and then the more I heard it, it’s become a top 5 most played Polyphia song for me

Not going to lie I've been blasting this single in the car and my fiancé literally thought this was Ariana Grande and that’s when I had to tell her it wasn't so I guess it's safe to say that my fiancé is a polyphia fan because I caught her listening to them this morning while we were getting ready for Uni and I would love to see more guest vocals with Polyphia because it works so damn well 🤘

First listen I was a bit meh but I've seriously been hammering this song for days now. To the point I have it in my head most of the day. The way her voice works with the instruments is actually what makes me appreciate it more than anything.

I enjoy Polyiphia experimenting with vocalists. I think we all know their draw is their instrumentation but strong songwriting trumps genre or retaining a sonic identity. I was impressed by the band's ability to maintain their technical flourishes while simultaneously taking a step back and adjust their songwriting to support a vocalist. Beyond that, nobody, not even Unprocessed, Issues, or Babymetal in my opinion, have the ability to blend technical and challenging instrumentation with pop music this seamlessly. I would love to hear Polyphia continue experimenting with pop vocalists as well as different vocal styles such as rap, funk, and hardcore.

This song is definitely a grower - at least it was for me, anyway. I am not a pop-head, like, at all. Spiritbox's Eternal Blue and AURORA are as close to pop as a I get, but this just works super well. Tim's so pop music-minded in his song writing and riff writing, in the sense that his riffs sometimes feel and sound like vocal runs in a pop song. So I while I agree some of the instrumentals got pushed back quite a bit and sacrificed for Sophia's vox, they still fit super well together and felt to me like a natural and completely unforced progression for their sound. But ABC is almost literally always stuck in my head now, for better or worse lol. Great video! Always dig your reactions.

This is a prime example of how to take your sound and make a more "accessible" song. Not a single comment from any sort of fan saying "they've sold out" or "they've dumbed it down" at most its people saying "oh on the first time round I wasn't too sure" but after a few more plays... they love it. I think a few other bands could take note.

On first listen its distracting for sure but when you listen it back knowing what to expect the musicianship is really very prominent imo. I just think a lot of people, myself included, were just so shocked about what we were hearing to be able to fully listen to everything the first time. But after i listened to it a couple times i was hooked. Been playing it on repeat since it came out. And i generally listen to a lot of instrumental music and am pretty picky about vocals. Also the alternative cds theyre selling have the instrumental versions of the songs on the album as extra tracks. They know their audience

Polyphia has built a few songs off pop tracks (G.O.A.T. comes to mind) and I think this was a natural progression for them. They're featuring a few rappers on their upcoming album as well, so I think collaborations like could push them into the mainstream audience more since this kind of song is more accessible to people who aren't music/guitar nerds. I don't think the song is bad, but it's not my favorite personally. I've listened to it about 10 times now and I won't necessarily skip it if comes up on the playlist, but I won't seek it out. This song is just targeting a different demographic of listener.

I went into this never having heard any of Polyphia before, so I didn't really even know what to think. Definitely feel it takes a bit away from what they typically do, but maybe it's a direction they always saw themselves going in at some point also.

There were entire sections where the guitar was playing without her vocals. Tim playing the Guitar Hero and then Scott playing a harsh tone version of the same guitar in the game show section. It's repeated several times in this song so it wasn't as if you were missing anything during the duo vocal/guitar sections. It's dismissive to relegate Sophia as just a vocalist when she wrote the vocal portions to match the guitar notes as Tim requested, and reciting the alphabet to the 26 guitar notes was her idea as well. Take a guitar solo, write words/lyrics to match the notes and chords timing perfectly. Should be simple right? What she is singing in the Jpop section are the equivalent Japanese 'alphabet' to bookend the English alphabet in the song.

I'll never understand why people read this track as "detracting from the band". This is one song out of many where they get to have fun. Its also is a good departure from their whole "grandeur" aesthetic that shows they're just goobers (which they are, trust).

Love this track, just wish that Sophia spelt out a phrase, or maybe a word to the beat, instead of singing her ABC's to the beat. The song is incredibly catchy, but I'm just not a fan of that abcs part.

I mean, that's the theme of the song. Being so flustered by your crush that you lose all words, all of the letters just disappear from your mind. So the ABC's part is like trying to get your shit back together, remembering the alphabet and thus your words.
