Its the truth Debbie and you're welcome. Where I live this is the only way I can get jewellery lessons and now p/clay lessons. All my jewellery skills are from learning online. So please keep up your youtube tutorials.

Hi Debbie. A little behind as only watched this tutorial this morning and Had to give it a go 😜. So easy, used a texture stamp instead of the lace as don't have any. Great toot. Hope you are keeping well.

oh yes, texture stamps work perfectly too or simply create your own texture. So glad you enjoyed the tutorial and yes, keeping really well. Hope you are too xx

Try using a cosmetic foam wedge instead of your finger. You'll find you have more control. This technique works well with mica powders as well. The effect resembles damask.

Thanks Katherine, great comment. I don't mind using my fingers...kinda like getting dirty :) I have mentioned in the video that you can use whatever works for you, cosmetic foam wedge is definately a good idea though. Thanks again.

Hi Dreaming Cat, I'm so sorry for the delay in replying to you. I love using chalks with polymer clay and I'm sure by now you've probably used them too. I haven't actually done anything with these pieces but sold them just like this. Not sure what the purchaser has done with them either :) Thanks for your lovely comment by the way

aha Nicole, I'll share my secret with you....it's actually from a picture frame. Alot of the cheapie ones have perspex instead of glass so I've got quite a few of these ones.

Hello. After baking the polymer clay pieces with pastel chalks on. What do you use to sealer? Is it possible to sand a piece of polymer clay on which you have used pastels? Thanks for sharing your knowledge 😉

Hey Marita, there are a few options for sealing chalk pastels - I like to use PearlEx Varnish, Cernit Transparent Varnish Mat and kato liquid clay - just depending on what sort of shine/finish I'm looking for. It's possible to sand polymer with chalk pastels on it but not to create a shine - it's more to create a distressed effect - hopefully that makes sense. If I wanted to sand and buff a piece then any surface treatment would sand off the surface. and you are more than welcome! ♥

could a person replace the chalk pastels with derwent ink scrapings , I really enjoy learning from your tutorials..

Do you know how thick is a #2, 3 and 4 is. I do not have a pasta machine thank you

oh gosh Valerie, I'm so sorry for not replying earlier. On my machine #2 is roughly 3mm, #3 is roughly 2mm and #4 roughly 1mm give or take a bit :)

Can i use soft pastel instead of chalk pastel?

I would assume they would work the same. If you have some it would be easy enough to give them a try. Good luck :)
