I'm so excited for you learning Norwegian! I fell in love with Scandinavian languages long ago and for next year one of my language goals is to finally get back to the Danish level I was when I first studied it, and then to hopefully extend it. I wish you luck and all the best in the coming year (even if it may be too soon for that haha)! One thing is for sure, you will continue to inspire me!

@Anna Aww, thank you! Your comment made me so happy. (: I think Danish is the most interesting of the 3 bigger Scandinavian languages, and I never regretted choosing it over Norwegian or Swedish. I think it deserves more credit or at least attention, I feel like it's really underrated. So I will keep trying to convert more people to it haha.
I love the entire set up of this video. From the cafe to the menu view to the skyline to the plans, love it all.
I really enjoyed seeing your plans for the year, thanks for sharing them. I'm especially happy for you that you are factoring in rest and chill into your schedule. Self-care is super important and it's good to see you making that a priority for yourself. Here's hoping to all of us making some progress next year on our languages✌🏽
I loved seeing your thought process as you crafted your plan! You’ve given me lots of ideas. One thing I’ve been doing is jotting down things I’ve noticed are weaknesses in my languages so I can target them next year. I really want to work on numbers in Spanish because I am not comfortable with dates, time etc. I told someone I was born in 1776 🤣🤣🤣

I'm always inspired by your plans. I am looking forward to improve my French, my German and learn Thai and Japanese.
I always was obsessed of learning every day. otherwise I would have felt guilty. now, I know that resting is ok and much needed. it's good to have it in your schedule too :3
I was waiting for it !! Good luck !
Yaaay, I was so eager to see this video 🤩
Glad you're enjoying Thailand and it's good to see you smiling and getting out. Take care Lindie! For 2023 I want to improve my Korean, maybe have a conversation with somebody in Korean, and start learning Spanish.
Very inspiring, as always! I wasn't planning to do it today, but I'm actually going to sit down and draw up my plan for 2023 as well. Thanks, Lindie!
My goal is to put more effort into my language studies. According to Finnishpod101 my Finnish is at B2, and I think my German is around the same (maybe a bit lower), but I still struggle with holding a conversation and thinking of words when I try speaking them. So I want to improve my confidence and really get better at actually speaking.
Today I was intending to set some plans for language learning but didnt know how and from where to start, the timing of this video is just so right 🤩
Szia Lindie👋 Én is tanulok magyarul, és én is "3" vagyok jelenleg, és jövő év végére szeretnék "5" lenni 🤞 Remélem, mindketten meg tudjuk csinálni 🍀😁
it's important we give ourselves permission to rest. great goals!!! looking forward to watching your growth
Thanks for that! I'll try to do my language plan for 2023 and I hope we can deal well with our plans. Courage and let's go!
Love this video ! I like the idea of splitting the year up and having goals according to each quarter. Personally I set short term goals which helps me more than setting long term goals !
This was so interesting! Also, I never thought of such a relaxed yet organized way to plan out studying, I might try this method for myself as well.
I really enjoyed this video Lindie! I know now how to better approach my language learning journey for next year. I've been alternating each month with my preferred language, but I like the quarterly idea better. This way, I can really focus on that one particular language whilst working on two other language with less of an intensity. I just recently discovered you and absolutely LOVE your whole idea of learning languages for FUN. I do it because I love languages firstly but also because it truely is a gateway into learning about other people's cultures and worlds. Everything can't come from a book - we have to learn to reach out to people who live and speak differently then we do to REALLY get an understanding of who they are!! Thank you so much!! 🙂 and I hope you're having a nice week!!
Why do I love your organisation/planning videos so much!!! Ty Lindie. You say quarters in a different accent from everything else heehee. I think everyone has a different way of saying it
Thank you for this video, it inspired me to try my own quarterly language plan in 2023. I went from learning 4-5 languages actively aside from my native and english to 0 for close to 2 years ago because life can get so unpredictable. But it has been a while and I am ready to face my fears of forgetting all the basics! Time to get back into something that truly gave me joy (: Best of luck and have fun everyone

Im slowly getting back into my language learning because I stopped for almost a year because of personal reasons. I would love to do things like this video again, but I don’t want to overwhelm myself! Also loved the video!!
This is incredibly helpful! Thank youuu Lindie❤️
Love some outdoor videos
I‘m so excited to see you learning Norwegian in the upcoming year. Started with Norwegian in September and I am so in love with the language❤️
excellent video Lindie, exactly when I needed it ty
This is so helpful and I finished now my plan for 2023 thanks to you! I wrote down everything, now need to start! :D
I loved watching this and seeing your thought process. And that you include a realistic approach to language learning. I am going to try something like this. Thank you!
I am rewatching this video with plans to finally reach C2 Spanish this year. Planner in hand. Thank you Lindie!
I was just watching your vids when I saw that you posted!😁 Actively writing my language goals and documenting my progress.
Yay finally it's here
My goals are: > Japanese : Finish my other N4 textbook and get half-way through N3 (maybe attend JLPT N4) > Vietnamese: Reach a confident A2 level > Korean: Reach A1 level
For 2022, my main goal was to get somewhere around a B2 level in Swedish. That didn't happen, but I'm happy with the progress I've been making, as well as enjoying the journey. I dabbled in several other languages this year and spent some time with Zulu, Bulgarian, and Arabic. Definitely going to be working on them more in 2023, although since I'll be moving to Bulgaria next year, shouldI really be focusing on Bulgarian. It's so hard to stick with just one or two languages! 😁

I did something similar yesterday and continued today. There are far too many languages that are interesting to me for different reasons. I'm not sure which language to focus on. But there is so much more to do. But I want to step up the game a little in 2023
I'm really happy u made a video explaining how a plan ur language study. From what I've seen nobody's made a video quite like urs. I'm gonna try to make my own. Now that I have something to go off that makes sense. 😎
As a Hungarian, I'm so happy that you're learning my language! It's one of the hardest languages to learn, that's why very few people want to learn it. I'm glad that you're one of them :) Judging from your latest video in Hungarian, your speaking skills are already incredible! I could totally imagine you having fluent conversations with native speakers. I hope you will reach all of your language goals, and I'm hoping to see another Hungarian video from you in the future!❤️

Happy Christmas and all the best for 2023.
this video really helped me plan out my language learning for this year! I followed your plan, but made slight changes to it. For my current levels vs. where I want to be at the end of ‘23, i broke down the levels into speech, reading, writing, and general understanding! For the quarters, I want to practice all five of my languages all year; so i have my main focus language for each quarter, but fit in a second language for each month. I went even further with that and planned out the months by each week and how/what I would study
Loved the video lindie! Next year my main languages will continue being Italian and Korean with my sub languages being Japanese and Chinese. Super baby steps with those last two as I really want to focus on my main two 👍. I so enjoy your language journal videos!! I’m excited to plan mine now too!!
I love LingoPie. Thanks for the discount code! Best of luck in 2023. I’ll be polishing up my Russian and trying to be fully A2.
Hi there, love your channel! I’ve just gone from part-time to full time work and I have little to no energy for language learning. I’m even struggling to continue conversations with language partners online. I really miss studying Italian and I felt I only started to improve after finding a consistent study routine. Aiuto! 😂 Il tuo canale è bello e continui a ispirarmi 😊

Looks great! Inspires me to be more structured and organized with my language learning goals for this year. Mainly going to focus on Japanese, Korean, Thai, and maybe Spanish, as well as maintaining Mandarin.
This is the third time I'm watching this video because everything about it is just so calming and motivating ✨✨
You motivated me to do something that i doubted to do and then decided to not do it and that is: learning italian as the third language for me. Besides french and hawaiian ! I thought no its to much! But no i see how your planning is and how you can have one side languages 🤍🤍🤍🤍🌸🌸🌸☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌹🌹🌹 Mahalo! Merci! Grazie ! Ssoooo inspiring
I always get some inspiration from your videos 💜💜💜 I hope I would fulfill my dream to be a polyglot someday. Language learning is difficult for me as I can't memorize easily. But I am not gonna give up for sure. Thanks to you I got to know about language learning 💜💜💜💜
Thanks for this realistic plan. 🤗 I'm wishing you all the best!
Thank you for sharing 🌸
Jej! Lykke til med norsk! I learned to B1 level while living in Norway during the pandemic, it is very easy to get started in for speakers of Germanic languages because a lot of the vocab is the same, but some of the grammar threw me for a loop (like there being no definite article, but rather it is demonstrated with a suffix on the noun). Things also get a little messy with different dialects in terms of understanding the spoken word (and written word for the areas that use the Nynorsk spelling system). I'm not a particularly advanced language learner though so I'm sure you will be just fine with all those quirks!.
Love from Thailand 🥰💕💓💖
So stoked you're finally learning a Nordic language! 🤯😀🌹
Honestly really happy I’m not the only one using duolingo as a serious resource for Spanish and French! It’s the only app I am used to and I think it works for me alongside a textbook cause it’s just great practice. ..I want to start speaking and writing cause those are my weaknesses, I can read really well but that’s it when it comes to my language learning…😊
super interesting thanks Lindie
Next year I really want to focus on improving my Korean and preparing for the Topik 1 exam. I plan to take the exam in October. I will have study actively on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. On Tuesday and Thursday I will have classes on italki. On Monday and Wednesday I will ready Korean short stories and watch podcasts in Korean. I also want to try to engage in one language exchange each week to become more comfortable speaking with native speakers.
What I like. The dots after a language. I use this on a Curriculum. Mother tongue is the max of 5 dots, English 4 ... Adding an extra takes a while of learning.
Nice plan I need to do this for me, thanks😊
I just recently started to learn Norwegian on Duolingo! I am learning it alongside Korean, which I have been learning for a couple of years with a tutor. I'm already finding it much easier to learn than Korean, which is frustrating because I have given Korean so much more time (and money lol)! But it is so similar to English, like you say, so it makes sense. Looking forward to see how you progress in Norwegian, would love to know which books you bought!
Very helpful, thank you cutie ♥️
Aaa it's really motivating to hear about your language plans! My goals are bringing my Finnish and Icelandic to a B1 level, and Swedish and French to B2/C1. Also maybe learning Norwegian basics if I have the time! 😊

So delighted to hear you wanna buy Taiwanese books (tho I'm not from TW). Simplified Chinese has ridiculously dominated the Chinese-learning market, yet traditional Chinese is in fact far more representative of the ancient culture. Wish you great success in your goals! PS: I've also been learning German and Japanese. The former is a real challenge!
I love the fact that you use notebooks as journals. I prefer them better than digital stuff. 😁
Thanks for making this! I really like the "ideal week" idea, especially if you're juggling multiple languages at once. It motivated me to make a plan for 2023 as well. The video is in Spanish, but it's an imitation/application of your method. ขอบคุณมากครับ
God bless you and thank you for this video and sharing your plan, will follow your format for my plan 🙏🏾 😊
Thank you for this video!! I think It's a great idea for this language log. I want to make one too. I leave for Korea for the first time in 9 months!
Thank you for sharing your process, very interesting to see how you did it. I particularly like the idea of 1 main focus language and the 2 sub languages, I'm going to use this for my general hobby planning for 2023! :-) I would love to see you share your progress on Norwegian when you start. I'm trying to learn it but I'm struggling a lot with motivation so it would be great to see how you approach it and which resources you use.
I’m currently learning both French and Spanish in school and you’re definitely right when it comes down to confusing them 😅 I can separate them well enough, and my knowledge of French definitely helps learn Spanish, but my brain kinda hates me for it 😂
I like your plan. I haven't really focused on my Korean at all this year. I just want to focus on my sentences and speaking. Reading is ok. I might brush up on that if I need to. I just want to DO some actual studying next year.

Thanks a lot 🥰 😘😘😘
I'm learning english and japanese. I read books in english and manga in japanese. I hear songs in both languages I write sentences and compositions with slangs, expressions, and words I see for the very first time. I watch dramas, movies, anime, and interviews of actors and singers because I need to practice the hearing in both languages. when I watch your videos sometimes I don't get you very well D; so I repeat it and turn on the subtitles in english. In japanese, I'm trying to read kanji no furigana I copy lyrics songs by hand to practice my writing as well. I prefer tategaki and read japanese from the right to the left I use furigana only with the words I can't read if it appears twice or more I just write kanji. To write my vocabulary I use drawing, synonyms, and antonyms to avoid translating in my language or english in the case I'm going over japanese. By the way, I'd like to learn more languages as you I'm interested in korean, chinese, russian, arabic, hindi, hebrew, and germany. 😃
Wow, girl, full respect for so many languages!!! I am also doing a language learning plan, but for 5 languages (including the native language). Let's see if it works or after a few weeks I don't have the motivation to follow it. 😅
I'm so excited when I watch videos like this. It always inspire me in my language studying way. I have a little smaller plans than you, but it's enough for me. In my language plan are English, Italian, Greek and German. I'm a little bit stressing about absence of some not European language in my least, for example it should be Kazakh or Tatar, but I don't need it. I learn only these languages, which I'll need to use in my life immediately. I'm hopeful you'll understand my poor English. Thanks for content!
I love Atomic Habits and started read in spanish. Fingers crossed for your reading!
Ngl I was shocked and happy to hear u mention Malay in your lists! xD I'm a native speaker and yes I do agree that Malay and Indonesian have alot of similar words, so u shouldn't feel all that bad about mixing those two up.

I am still trying to figure out how to plan my goals for my languages next year. Currently I have a 6 days a week approach. Monday - Spanish. Tuesday - Irish. Wednesday - French. Thursday- Japanese. Friday - Indonesian. Saturday- German. I have literature and KZreadrs for my other three languages that I always keep up with when they update (Latin. ASL. Esperanto.) My only goals right now are to get through my text books for each language, read my fiction books, do my job, and maybe keep conversations going with friends in these languages.

I started Norwegian about 4 months ago and still going slowly through A1. If Afrikaans is close to Dutch, then it will be close to Norwegian. I was learning Dutch before I wanted to pick up Norwegian, but hand to put Dutch back on the self because I kept using ik (Dutch) for jeg (Norwegian). 😅 But Norwegian is beautiful for sure, hoping to get something under my belt before I visit possibly this summer. Using “Mystery of Nils” as my language resource for Norwegian. Lykke til!
