I appreciate how open you are about mental health. By doing the first step and being vulnerable yourself, you teach the viewers that it's okay to be vulnerable about mental health in a safe environment.

Exactly, the language learning community often portrays polyglots as having impeccable schedules and extremely unrealistic expectations which can be detrimental to the viewers mental health.

@@techside1608I totally agree! Most of us have a full-time job that is not language learning and can't dedicate all the day to language learning.
Working backwards is the best way for me on most weeks because of my energy levels. I can sometimes time block but in a strange way because I planned a set time in advance, I end up not even doing the thing in my time block 😂
No way!! I’ll be in Korea for the rest of the year starting next week. I’d love to attend any meet ups or events if you plan to hold any! Safe travels and God bless you!

That sounds great! I'm too much of an introvert for meetups but if you wanna have a coffee, please email me! (email on the about page)
I loooooved this video! Helpful advice, following you around to cute areas, notebook and study shots! So relaxing!
I’m planning to start learning Spanish, so this video is very useful. Thank u 🥰
Thanks for all your work ❤
Just the video I needed. 😌

Thanks so much!
I missed your videos Lindie! Share your talent is very useful for us. 😊
aside from the useful techniques (which i really appreciate so thank you so much ) I think that you have the prettiest features ever omg ❤
I feel like this is the most relatable channel I've found, because I'm South African too, and I am trying to learn as many languages as I can, at this stage I'm most fluent in Turkish and I'm learning Arabic, Korean, Japanese and Indonesian purely for fun. I love your videos :)
amazing video!
i liked how you filmed this ! Spaces in between each method and filling us in on your life and many peaceful moments. Some people cram everything in and it can become overwhelming, it didn’t feel like that at all 😊
Great ideas here. I decided to watch this because I am trying to find the best language learning method for myself. Maybe I am getting too distracted trying to find the perfect method. I am having trouble getting into a routine with this learning for that reason
Lindie, could you make more videos about Japanese and Korean? Maybe some tips on how to learn kanji easily. Also I would like to see some vlogs from South Korea and Japan... ❤
Excellent video 😊😊😊
Eres increíble 😊 Me alegra volver a verte de nuevo en un vídeo largo aquí 🤗 Tengo ganas de ver tus vlogs de viaje a Korea y Japón 🤩🙏 Hasta el próximo vídeo, drukkies 😇
method 4 is my favorite! also, I love this kind of vlog style :) very informative and dynamic. I don't know if you've ever done this before or if you're comfortable doing it, but it would be really cool if you organized a meet-up while in Seoul. I'll be there too for this next semester and it would be amazing to have the opportunity to meet you and other subscribers!
LOL I didn't realize the clip of you typing was sped up. I was like, HOLY CRAP she is typing quickly
I’m also going to Japan (currently here) and Seoul this month after many years 😅 여행을 잘 다녀오세요~
Isle of Tenerife, Spain, Africa. First of all, I've read all the comments on here just now, and I think it's maybe the first time EVER on KZread when they're not splattered with misspellings, some of them even completely correctly written and spelt, something almost never encountered in this century, so Lindie clearly has a more literate and perhaps erudite audience than most. I wonder if it's cause or effect. Whichever, I applaud it and almost revel in it, it's such a rare treat! Lindie's contributions are always inspiring, especially for me, now that I'm trying to get off the ground learning Frisian, the world's most difficult language, right? Best wishes, Patchy.

fantastic explanations, really well shot and edited too 🤠

Sometimes I get super motivated and I can study for hours and hours. But then I struggle to keep that motivation. And I feel so depleted and irritated with myself. I'm going to try your working backwards method (I think that's what it's called) just keeping track of everything I have done.. not will do. I do get burnt out and stressed and I feel like sometimes I make progress and one day it clicks and then the next it sounds like I'm listening to jibberish... it can be a huge hurtle to overcome. But I can tell I am getting better (at french) I just need to work on consistency. Which. . Is so hard
I am new here, i know you by el jardin de martin , after he carry me to Lucas Lamparielo and finaly and end here whit you, and is so amazing.... i am traying to learn English, and you channel is amazing, if you want to talk about your mental health was help for us, and have a curious about your topic thesis.
Shoutout to your videooo, great and quite useful one for me indeed! You also told you are going to Seoul soon, right?? If you will need a cozy cafe buddyyyy in Seoul, I would be actually glad to have a convo with such an incredible person~~

When I taught myself Learning a language sometimes get boring. I feel lazy about this. One day I am very excited and one day I got bored. What should I do?And also in my surroundings no one learning a language. I need more help? What should I do
Love your tips! Out of curiosity, did you live in Korea? Or have you learned Korean in your home country?
the price of your meds is insane, that's £45 here in the UK, but for a month of antidepressants it's only £10 here (it was £7 around 3 years ago).

Mental healthy = bullshit. Push yourself if you really want to achieve something that you really want. Be constant and disciplined. That's it.

That's the worst advice ever. It's okay to push yourself if your mentally healthy, for the most part, but you can't do anything without a foundation of decent mental health
