Today I’m going to be sharing with you how to make the most delicious polvorones , Mexican wedding cookies ! This cookies are the easiest and the most delicious, soft, crumbly,shortbread cookies you will ever make!! 🥰

I M P O R T A N T ⚠️
Make sure the butter is at room temperature
Tip!!! Allow the cookies to cool down for 10 minutes before coating with powder sugar
If you think its too much sugar, add 1/2 cup only
PRO TIP good but not necessary- refrigate for 20 minutes before baking
Bake at 350 for 15 minutes
Ingredients: 16 cookies (2 tbsp each) double recipe if needed 😉
1 cup (2 sticks)butter at room temperature
1/2- 1 cup powder sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 cups APF
1 cup pecans
1/2 cup walnuts
1 serving of love 💕

I made them last night so good..I made mine with pecans and almonds..
I love these cookies! I add almond extract instead of vanilla. I take them out of the oven and lightly roll them in powdered sugar, then when completely cooled I roll them again. The almond extract gives them a really good flavor

WOW, I love the idea of the almond extract and have got to try them that way, and lightly rolling them when out of the oven and again when cooled. TFS that tip!
I love these cookies. I personally make them smaller so that they're bite size and leave less of a mess when eating. Either way they're a must every holiday season. Great video!
Mrs Pena cookies is what I affectionately call them ♡. She was my moms neighbor as I was growing up. She made the most delicious polvorones and coconut cake that I namedl Mrs Pena cake 😊 . She's since passed, and it's been forever since we've had either of these 2 desserts from her, but I swear I can still taste them!

My friend/co-worker LOVES Mexican Wedding Cookies...She once purchased a BIG container of powdered sugar doughnut holes accidentally thinking they were the cookies, she was so bummed out . They are amazing!! I chop the nuts much finer. And only use walnuts. But I think the mix might be nice.

For me personally feel like the powder sugar is less sweet which makes it perfect other than that it’s no difference the cookies come out tasting super delicious 😊
