You have the expansion roller spinning in the wrong direction, thats why the sand paper is coming off.

What is the difference between the 80 sleeve and a 80 grit non woven drum?????

I prefer a 3” facemill. Proper feeds and speeds will give you a much better finish too 😁

Yes, yes. It's all about the feeds and speeds. It's all ball-bearings nowadays. Thanks for watching.

Can you use this machine on stainless steel kitchen sinks?

Is it possible that you had the sanding drum on backwards and that is why it stared to come off?. I couldn't tell from the video. If that's how good it is it's a terrible tool especially for the money. The sandpaper should stay on.

The drum was on the correct way. That was some paper that had been used and worn out sanding a welding table. We should have never started with that. Thanks for watching.

the drum is on backwards. I use this tool all the time and the paper will slip like this when it is installed backwards. The expansion drum will not expand. Also if you need to put a grain finish on metal this machine will pay for itself in a single job.

@@westweld do you know why he is using the 80 grit sleeve instead of a 80 grit non woven and why after the 80 grit sleeve he used the 120 flap wheel instead of a 120 non woven????

Have I burnished lately? Every day, and twice on Tuesdays.

I'm not going to lie, I am borderline erect about getting my hands on one of these. What I'd like to know is what makes the Metabo superior to say the Eastwood and all others. There is obviously a massive difference in price between the Metabo and EVERY other burnisher on the Market. I have Metabo drills and grinders and although they were little more $$ than other comparable products we aren't talking the same extreme in terms of price difference. What is your opinion on this? I want one for prepping a 73 car for body work/paint. Kind regards

Really don't think you should redo this, putting tools together backwards. Did you think the sanding sleeves walk off on a $700 tool???

Thumb down because you mentioned accessories many times but never showed even one. for the money the eastwood is a very good tool. if you arent going to use it every day go harbor freight.

I don't know about this tool. I will stick to a grinder with flap discs...more versatile

A flap disc is fine for rough work, but it will never pass for getting fine finishes or working with stainless and aluminum. Thanks for watching.

Angle grinder is way more aggressive and does not leave as uniform of a finish. Personally, i would have used angle grinder with scotch brite disk on it to remove the rust, followed by burnisher to smooth out the surface. If this burnisher is like a shovel, angle grinder is like an excavator. Just different application all together.
