ShoutLatios I was talking to a bus driver today asked him why he shaved his hair on top. It was so fierce looking. so nice and pulled back in a pony tail and the rest was shaved close to his head. I was captivated by it and told him it was beautiful. So as I was saying I asked him why he shaved it off, what I'm about to say broke my heart. His son died a year ago in June. He was growing his hair out like that so the father decided to grow it out and leave it like it for a year. His son took a seizure and drowned in the tub. He showed me a picture of his son. A handsome young man. He was only 21. My heart is broken for poor Trevor, the dad.

Jon Haugland Thank you for fighting for freedom and justice. I lost a dear friend to suicide 4 months ago, I called her the night before she took her life, but she told her husband she was too busy to talk. I speak from experience, if you only knew how others hurt when a person takes their own life, the guilt they feel as if "why didn't I see it coming?" "Did I contribute to the person's suicide?" ECT.. When you feel like hurting yourself, call your best friend instead chances are, they could need support as much as you.

I lost my seven year old son sixteen years ago. I would see children who remind me of my son and would talk to them and hug them. If a parent became concerned, I would explain my actions and that it was so agonizing that my son was gone and I could not see him anymore or talk to him or hug him. I explained that I had so much love in my heart for my boy. I could try to push that love away and bury it, but I would only become bitter and uncaring about anyone, but I knew it was SO much better to pass it on than to hate everything and everyone AND project bitterness and misery. I'm not over it yet and will never be, but I learned to move on and cope with it. THANKS BE TO GOD FOR HIS STRENGTH TO LEAN ON!!!!!!!!!

I have two a older brothers. Twins. During the Iraq war, one fought in the navy and the other in the artillery. The one who fought in the navy came home with serious PTSD. He’s still being treated for it. The other, never made it home. From the stories my brother tells, it was horrible. He was just waking up one day when he was told that his twin brother was dead. The two had been best friend for as long as I could remember. My brother lost more than just his best friend\brother in the war. Two of our cousins, our uncle, and another one of his best friends didn’t make it through the war. He wasn’t the only sibling we had lost. Once upon a time there were five of us. The oldest, my sister, got drunk one night and never came back. Then my other sister, at the age of ten, died of cancer. Counting my brother in the war, that makes the of us dead. Being his only sibling left and one person he thinks save, I’m forever protected by my brother, my older sister friends, and my parents. Trying to shield me from the horrible world of reality that took the lives of three of my siblings. Whenever someone mentions cancer, suicide, or war, my parents quickly just start randomly talking about unicorns or something like that. Even today they think they can protect me. But really, in protecting them. When ever my brother has night terrors, I get him some water and lead him back to his bed. Whenever I fell the conversation drifting towards something that might remind my parents of their dead children, I try my best to steer it away. It’s because of all this horrific happenings in our family that I know a little more about reality than most kids my age. It’s also how I learned to look on the bright side of things, especially at family reunions. I’m the youngest, but I’m the only person to shield them from and reminders of the ones we’ve lost. Simply by looking beyond the war and more at people who are gone. Once, I actually steered my mom away from a person wearing an army uniform to keep her from remembering what happened to my brother. And they that they are the ones protecting me.

Most people don't know this, 'It takes a lot of guts to "want start to heal" and go on. Some stay stuck in a bad place and therefore cease to be long before they commit suicide. In some cases all it takes is a "Hug" to get the ball rolling toward recovery, 'or just make it through a particularly bad day.

Follow The Sun,sometimes it takes someone that has traveled that road to keep you level. You don’t ever heal but you reach a point where you don’t hold a gun or knife and think about peace. I still don’t own a gun or dream at night but unless a sudden noise puts me back in that plane I can exist with out fear. Those around me have helped more than they realize. Peace to you on your journey.

I only say this because I remembered something I had used as a political talking point lol and I think more people need to know about what is available for them. I mean we pay taxes, so we should all be informed of these benefits

One & Only J. Korbyn You seem to have overlooked the fact that this police officer, yes, that's right, police, dared to be a human being and treat another person like the human being that he was. Is it this cop's usual schtick? There's no way to know that for sure based solely on this one snapshot. But it's at least one small step in the right direction from a member of an organization with an increasing reputation for dehumanizing anybody who's not a cop, and in some cases even those who are.

Landen Vlogs first off not the ones that served in the military, second off not all cops are bad like the ones who served over seas, and third if you believe that then you commented on the wrong video then. This video is about a solider and a good cop and dealing with hardships after coming back from overseas, and losing his son to war. Even though I don't understand their struggles like ptsd I understand this: people who served overseas will always be good people and they can be even cops so they are the real good cops and i trust them and i thanked them for fighting to protected the country and us no matter what color or religion.

Of course there are wonderful police. The problem is that when a police officer commits an action that would land you and I in jail for 20 years, almost always they get away with it. This is what leads to disrespect and hated of the police.

That & the fact that news & media only shows the bad shit so if u only see the bad cops ppl r gonna think all r bad same 4 minorities u only here bout the killings drug dealing stealing so that's how ppl think we all r same 4 every group Muslims portrayed as terrorist or anti American but not all r whites especially country folk get stereotyped as racist or incestual

What does that have to do with any of this? That sounds like you are just labeling people and basically saying that because they all wear a uniform that clearly you must view them all the same instead of understanding that they are all individuals. The greatest minority is the individual and you need to remember that.

War is terrible but without war you can't have peace. Just like there's no light without darkness or cold without heat. In perfect world those things are balanced. In harmony with each other. Equal amounts of pain and happiness. Tears and joy. That's why war will never end. Still there could be much less of war, than there's now. Balance is shifting. World becoming more and more imperfect.

I get what you are trying to say... but I'm not going to put aside differences, such as 'throwing acid on my 3rd wife's face because I can.' The worst places in the world are places where women have no power what-so-ever. So how about we eliminate the differences, by taking away women's rights? Don't like that? Neither do I.

Shawn B a good excuse to invade a country that possess natural resources is to claim to be on the offensive. The ones who send other people's families to fight war do so behind a desk and never see a minute behind enemy lines but get all the praise and in the end become even richer

Sometimes one side won't play by the accepted rules of society. Sometimes they push it so far as to be a threat to the life, limb and well-being of society. Sometimes that side murders, rapes and pillages in the name of whatever: Religion, nationality, race, other things. In the event, if they won't stop what their doing and "play fair" then there's no other recourse than to use violence to stop them.
