POLARIS SPORTSMAN 570 REVIEW and 1st impressions...

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This 2014 Polaris Sportsman 570 does not belong to me; it belongs to my friend/boss. I mentioned to him that I've been wondering about the Sportsman 570 for years and that I've never had the chance to ride one. He invited me to take it out. I did a 38-mile loop through varied terrain in the forest, and in this video I share my first impressions of this machine. I also took some GoPro footage that I will share in coming videos. Teaser...the 570 is growing on me.

My cousin has one and he loves it, he never had any problems towing, plowing snow, going in mud/water, going up hills etc. And lots of power!!!!

Correct. The Sportsman 570 is surprisingly powerful. I really enjoyed it.

Thanks for giving your comparison to the Rancher. That was the hardest decision for me. Honda vs Polaris. I just bought my very first ATV and it's a 2018 Sportsman 570 with 2300 miles and 157 hrs. Took it to my local ATV mechanic and he said I got a good buy and there wasn't a thing wrong with it and it has never been in the mud either. I love it, but still want to test ride a Rubicon or a Rincon. Then there's always the thought of getting a Sportsman 850 down the road!

You're welcome. Hope our content was helpful in some way. I love both machines, honestly. Different, but both good. I'm sure you'll love your 2018, plus the 2018 has all the updates and improvements over the 2014-2017. An 850 would be crazy...very powerful.

If I recall your Rancher had a solid rear axle. That is the reason your Rancher wasn't comfortable. My 2015 Rancher is IRS, Power steering, and full auto. Talk about comfy. As far as Polaris goes, I've heard about more problems with those bikes then not. Cheers!

That is correct. My Rancher was the SRA version, and yes, that is the main reason why it's more comfy on the trails. The Sportsman also has taller tires and more suspension travel, which helps. I'm not turning anti-Rancher, just sharing observations. I've heard the IRS Ranchers/Rubicons ride nice too. Yes, like you I've heard non-stop problems with the Sportsmans.

For the first time ever I just realized I said "Sportsman 450". What a dork. OBVIOUSLY a Sportsman 570 - not sure what caused the slip up.

The speed limiters suck but the suspension, seat, ergonomics and factory clutching are pretty nice. Personally I like the 450 (500cc)better then the 570 (567cc). A tuned 450 will walk a stock 570 and run smoother and cooler in the process but truely neither will last as long as the Honda. There deffinitly fun, I have the 570 utility which has a lower high range gear set to it. CVT is nice and you don't have to think about gear selection. Honestly though I prefer shifting

Brad, thanks for the first-hand feedback. When you say "tuned" for the 450, are you referring to a new 450HO? And of course, Polaris changed engines on the 450HO between 2016 and 2017, so are you referring to the 570cc 450 or the 500cc 450? I agree on the reliability part as well, only because my 2016 Honda Rancher was flawless. The Utility versions are sweet for sure.

You should get a 2018 Yamaha Kodiak 450. Me my brother both have one. They are great. Mine had two issues under 100 miles but I got them fixed and haven’t had a problem since. Mine was flawed. My brothers is great. Just saying

My dad has bought Polaris his whole life we've had about 10 of them they always ended up with a blown up top end or some massive failure in the lower end just my experience with them the new ones seem to have worked out most of those problems

That does not surprise me, based on the stuff I've read online and seen in videos. Seems like when they run well people love them. But they tend to have quality control issues. But I can't speak from first hand experience. Sounds like you can. I just know my Honda Rancher was awesome.

nevertoooldtohavefun just can’t beat the reliability of a Honda! If you do have a chance one day getting another ATV, you should definitely look in to a Suzuki, we have had awesome luck with our Honda’s and Suzuki’s! They ride better, they are more powerful most of the time too but they don’t sacrifice reliability! Love the video keep it up!
