Polarex M80 astrograph

This is a film camera designed to ride on the 6 inch Polarex photoequatorial telescope. It uses a Taylor triplet lens to project a flat, highly corrected image onto a film plate. The video shows its restoration over a period of about three months.

    I can hear the bellbirds in the background around the 7 minute mark! Lovely restoration.

    Yes - good pick! One of the many reasons I love this place. At night you can hear the powerful owls calling to each other and occasionally Koalas. Thanks for the kind words about the restoration davepastern.

    @@JonHarris-ri1vj I could hear a Brown Honeyeater in the background of 1 of the other videos. I was lucky enough to capture some images of Powerful Owls last September/October. I won't reveal the location in order to protect the birds, but I was so happy to see these alpha raptors. You've done a superb job with that telescope and mount restoration.
